Saturday's Sketch Share!

Hello!  I have to make this short and sweet this morning.  I am on my way to church to help out with  the second day of our huge yard sale (not really in the yard, because it is in fellowship hall!)   But, it is huge, at least it was yesterday morning before we started!  And I was there early in the week to price all the stuff that was brought.  Needless to say, a big job.  On to the share ... I will show you my card, Debbie's card and the sketch we both used!  Enjoy!

Sunday Words of Wisdom!

Hello! Today's quote is one of my "go to's" for bible verses.  And I loved the photo they paired with it.  Enjoy!

See what I mean?  The photo has all these crooked wooden planks, not always a straight path, kinda like our lives.

See you soon!

Saturday Sketch Share!

Hello!  How thankful are you that every week I am here on Saturday to share cards since obviously, you aren't seeing me any other day!  It is what it is.  Let's get right to today's share, as I am teaching today.  I moved up today's class from the usual 2:30 p.m. time to 11 a.m. because they thought they were moving the store today to it's new location, but that has been moved to a couple of weeks from now, but my class is still set at 11, so I am off and running this morning.  I  will be showing you my card, Debbie's card, and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

The Sketches

Yes, it was one of those weeks where we had the choice between square and circle, and as usual, Debbie went circle and I went square.  Another Halloween card, you are thinking?  Well, I went looking for small stamps, and thought of my owls and since I have been creating Fall and Halloween cards for the store, that is the supplies that are on my desk right now, so that is what I went with.  Love how mine came out and love Debbie's too.  Her concept is too cute!  I think we both liked the sketch.  What do you think?

Have a good day.  See you tomorrow!

Boo ... From Me to You!

Hello!  Below is my post that is on The Crafty Scrapper's blog today.  At the bottom, you will find the card recipe.  Enjoy!

Hello, it is Tina here, with another fun and creative card for you!

As soon as I saw the spider paper from Authentique, I knew I wanted to play with an idea I saw of a 3D pumpkin.  Check out my card ...

The next photo taken from the side shows the dimension.

To make the pumpkin, all you do is either die cut or punch six circles, each with a smaller circle cut out or punched out of the middle. Fold each in half and glue together.  Super simple.  Since it is just paper, it will fold flat for mailing.

Even though the main focus of my card is definitely the pumpkin, there are quite a number of other elements including a little spider web charm die from My Favorite Things, pretty ribbon and a sentiment on a punched tag.  Here is a close-up.

You can see the card in person and get all the supplies you need to make it at our favorite scrapbook store, The Crafty Scrapper!

I am not allowed to add the card recipe on their blog because they want to customers to go to the store to find out what was used, which does make sense.  But, on my blog, I really like to add the card ingredients if I know them ....

Recipe:
Paper - Authentique Collection: "Ominous" (plaid), "Tangled" (orange dot and backside spider print), Cardstock Black, Natural White
Stamps - Darcies Lots of Smiles Halloween set (sentiment)
Ink - Memento Black
Tools - Spellbinders Classic Circles, Impression Obsession Mini Leaves (die set, stem was just cut from scratch), My Favorite Things Halloween charms web die, McGill tag punch
Other - Wink of Stella Clear glitter pen, Black Pearls, Sheer Ribbon

I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought it would be a creative idea to share on their blog. They give me a lot of scrapbook elements like chipboard, charms, etc to use on my cards, but as you know, that doesn't always correlate with my style of cards.  I figure if I can come up with basic fold-over cards (simpler than my class ones) that have some kind of creative element, like the pumpkin, in this case, that will work the best!  Thoughts?

You've Got Mail! (a belated post!)

Hello!  Whenever I have a card to go up on The Crafty Scrapper's blog, I set it up here to show you on the same day.  Well, it seems a couple of weeks ago, I forgot to set my own blog post up.  See below for the copy of that blog post ...enjoy!

Hello, it is Tina here again, with another card creation!

I get so excited when I see paper that will match up perfectly with a favorite stamp I own!  And this was the case with the paper in my design team kit this month.  The paper has small circles, to resemble typewriter keys.  I combined this with papers from the same line and a stamp from My Favorite Things, and the card was born.

Add a nice sketch, ribbon and rhinestones and you get a great card!

You can find all the supplies and see this card in person at The Crafty Scrapper!
Happy Stamping!

Tomorrow I have my next post going live on The Crafty Scrapper's blog and so I won't forget again, it is already set up to show here too!  I tell you I have been pretty awful about not only making cards for the blog, but also showing you the ones that are made!  Time seems to go by so fast!

See you tomorrow!
Happy Stamping!

Sunday Words of Wisdom (on Monday!)!

Hello!  Yes, I forgot all about my usual Sunday post.  And looking back, I also forgot to show you a post that went on The Crafty Scrapper's blog a few weeks ago, so I will be setting that one up for you too!  So, I was thinking about me forgetting stuff and was reminded when I looked on my pinterest word board, that there are much more important things that we should not forget!  Here are a couple of quotes about what not to forget ...enjoy!

Saturday Sketch Share!

Hello!  Thank goodness for these Saturday posts, or you wouldn't be getting much creativity from me these days, well except to show you my class cards, like I did yesterday!  If you missed yesterday, be sure to check that out.  On to today ... it's another share between Debbie and I.  I will show you my card, Debbie's card, and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

The Sketch
At first glance, I wasn't sure about the sketch, but after working with it, I kinda like it.  I love that Debbie went with a "back to school" theme.  And I guess, mine is a summer theme.  What do you think of today's cards and the sketch?

September Class Share!

Hello!  I worked on my next class samples early in the week and was able to take them to the store on Wednesday, but I knew I also wanted to get them on here for you to see.  I think in the past for the September class, I have done 2 Halloween cards and 1 fall card, but this class ended up being 1 Halloween and 2 fall.  And, that is just they way it worked out with the papers and stamps I had to work with.  You see, the store is moving to bigger and better location just around the corner and because of that, some of their ordering dates have been moved.  I know from experience, the less you have to move the better!  So, I used stamps I know they can get and the papers they did get.  I have to say, the first two came together pretty quick, but then the third, well, I just didn't know what I wanted to do and I messed with it and messed with it, finally giving up for the night.  The next day, it just came together so easily.  The moral to this is if you are not feeling it, walk away and come back to it!  I did not take my own advice!  Let me show you my cards ... enjoy!

First up, is my favorite one, an adorable Halloween card.  It is a variation of a tri fold shutter card ...

Above, is how it looks closed, and then when you open it up ...

The best thing about this variation, is the fact that is have a great place to write you sentiment.
Card #2 is a Wiper and you will see why it is called that in a bit, but first below is how it looks closed...

And then the sides are pulled, and it reveals this pop-up wiper mechanism ...

This card had no place for the sentiment, so I made the pocket on the front of the card.  Here is the inside ...

And last but not least, is the third fall card.  This one is a very simple pocket card but so pretty!

Below shows the panel pulled out of the pocket ...

If you can come or would like a class kit, here are the details ...
