Wishing You Comfort!

Hello!  :Last day of the month, so I figured I had better throw in one more post.  Today's card is a great sympathy card.  It uses a stamp set from Verve.  Enjoy!

It is kinda hard to see, but I used two colors of distress ink on top of one another to get a color that I thought went with the DP.  I used Spun Sugar and Dried Marigold.  Love this one!

Bouquet Wishes!

Hello! I am busy working on class prepping but I had to print something for one of the cards and I thought, oh, I should throw out one of the cards that I haven't shown you yet.  So, here it is ... enjoy!

This is a set I got at Darcies booth in January.  So glad I finally got to ink it up!  Love how this card came out!  I made it a get well card but really, it would work for any occasion!

Maybe I will write a quick post for tomorrow right now.

Saturday's Sketch Share!

Hello!  Two Easter cards for this share ... mine first, then Debbie's, and then the sketch we both used.  It is one of those tall and skinny card sketches.  The fronts measure 3 1/2" wide by the normal 5 1/2" tall.  Here they are ... enjoy!

Debbie's Card

The Sketch

Somebunny Loves You!

Hello! I am in the middle of cleaning my house for family coming for Easter.  I am taking a quick break to show you a card.  This one I made earlier in the month " thinking" that I might need an extra Easter card to send.  I ended up making about 8 of the cross ones that I taught in my class.  It was a simplified version, as it was a regular fold over type card. I think I ended up making and sending out about 15 cards this year.  Here is my adorable bunny card for you ... enjoy!

I will have one last Easter card for you tomorrow for the share.

Oh, one note .. did you see yesterday's post on my canvas for the store's Spring Carousel event?  I linked the info about the event to my post, but late yesterday, she added the photos of the classes, so I have adjusted my link.  You can also check it out
here!

Spring Canvas!

Hello!  I have several more cards to show you but I am interrupting this daily card show to share with you a project that I will be teaching at The Crafty Scrapper at an upcoming event.  They are doing this event called the Spring Carousel on Saturday April 9th.  You will get 5 one hour classes and a catered lunch for just $75.  That is a pretty good deal, if you ask me.  I am quite excited to be one of the classes.  You might remember the Valentine canvas I made, see it here, a while back for the store's design team blog.  I decided changing this project to a spring theme would be perfect for this event!  Here is my project ... enjoy!

What do you think?  I have already started to prep.  After all, I am prepping for 60.  The event  is limited to 50 people but they said I could make 10 extra kits to possibly sell.  I figure if I am prepping for 50, what is 10 more, right?  See the Hello?  I think it looks really cool in person because it appears thick, and that is because four hellos are die cut and adhered on top of each other.  But ... that is a lot of die cutting ... what was I thinking?  Oh well, it won't be the first time, or the last, that I cause more work for myself to get a better creative look!  I just hope the class can be completed in under one hour.  I should remember not to do too much talking at the beginning. Yea, right!

Hope to be back tomorrow with another card to show you.
Happy Stamping!

Verses Sympathy Cards x 2 (or 3)!

Hello!  Today I have a couple of creations made with the stamps I received from Verses for this month.  As I told you last week, I am a new design team member, making cards for their website and stores.  In the group of stamps they sent me, there were two stamps perfect for sympathy cards and knowing that my order from my church friends included sympathy cards, I used their stamps!  What's the saying, killing two birds with one stone ... that is not nice, I don't kill any birds.  Oh, well you know what I mean!  First, I am showing you the two cards that I made to sell ... enjoy!

Verses likes me to send to them card fronts only and with a color base.  So, far, I have made them four cards and in all but one of those, I simply have copied the original card, but left off the white or cream fold over and made the color panel the size of an A2 card.  The "one" I spoke about is this one on the bottom above.  I didn't have enough paper to make it exactly the same, so I changed it a little and I want to show you that one too...

Flowers are God's Way of Smiling!

Hello!  I have several cards that I made for a couple of orders from ladies at my church, so I will have a card a day for a while.  I am sure you will happy about that!  Here is the first ... enjoy!

This one is pretty simple, but oh, so pretty!  The sentiment seems a little crooked, but hopefully, it will go unnoticed when they see the pretty flowers.  I don't have all the recipe details, but I do know the flowers is a stamp from Verve, the greenery is a die from Spellbinders and the sentiment is from Inky Antics.  I made this one a birthday card, but it could easily be for any occasion.

Happy Stamping!

Saturday's Sketch Share (On Sunday!)

Hello!  Sorry I am late.  Yesterday, the ladies of the church had a bake sale in two towns, one at a Walmart and one at Brookshires.  I left early to help transport and set up the tables and then sit in the cold and sell.  We had typical Texas, crazy weather, as one day last week it was in the 80's and that is expected next week too.  But, yesterday ... 40's to 50's, and with a north wind blowing about 15 miles per hour!  Really?  About half way through the day, I took some of the baked goods from Walmart to Brookshires.  I soon found out that if I thought it was cold at Walmart, Brookshires was ten times worse, as they sat under a overhang, in the shade, facing the north wind.  COLD!  Overall, we did pretty good, money wise.  Still have some left, but maybe the after church crowd today will help us out!

Okay, now, on to what you came here for ... I will show you my card, Debbie's card, and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

Debbie's Card

The Sketch
Sorry I cut the top of my card off when I scanned it.  I didn't notice it before it got put in the mail.  I had that egg on my desk, and thought I should use it, so I substituted the circle shape on the sketch for the egg shape.  I think it works!  Smartie, Debbie remembered that this last Wed. was St. Patty's Day, so she made us one for that holiday!  Yea!  I am sure that will bring us luck ... at least, I hope so!

I have several cards that I made this last week to finish up on orders from a couple of ladies at church, so I will try my best to get on this afternoon and set some of those posts to show you next week!

Have a lovely Palm Sunday!

Verses Birthday Cards x 2!

Hello!  Did anyone notice on the side of my blog I added a logo for Verses Rubber Stamps and under it I put "design team"?  Pretty cool!  At the Grapevine convention back in January, Verses had a booth.  I know the owner from when I had my store and actually I carried her line of stamps in my own store.  Anyway, we got to talking and she said she was interested in me being a member of their design team for their website and also cards made to send to stores to help sell their product.  I love sentiments stamps and with my style of using sketches, I thought this would be a perfect match.  The first two cards that I will sending them, I have, to show you today.  These two were also made for a requested order for a church friend.  So, I made two sets of cards.  My church friend loved them, hopefully Verses will like them too.  Here are the two ... enjoy!

For both I tried to use the designs of the papers to match the words in the sentiment.  I think I was told it is alright to use other products if I have to, and I did think the first card needed something, so I added the bird die from My Favorite Things.  One the second card, I decided the Pinking die from Spellbinders was a perfect addition for the "sunshine" reference and the striped DP for the "rainbow" reference.  What do you think?

Here are the details:

Card #1:
Paper - First Edition 6 x 6 paper pad called Bird Song, Cardstock Black
Stamps - Verses Birthday Symphony #BB0423E-CL
Ink - Versafine Black
Tools - My Favorite Things Bird die from Contempo Cage Die-namics, Spellbinders Classic Circle
Other - Pink Pearls

Card #2:
Paper - My Minds Eye Notable "Love This" (yellow pattern from 2013), Echo Park Spring "Sparkling Stripe" (2016), Cardstock Yellow, Orange, White
Stamps - Verses Rainbow Colors of Laughter #BB0433F-CL
Ink - Versafine Black
Tools - Spellbinders Pinking Circle
Other - Orange Pearls

Saturday's Sketch Share!

Hello! I am back today with another share between Debbie and I.  I will show you my card, her card, and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

My Card

Debbie's Card

The Sketch
As you know, there are less horizontal sketches than vertical ones and I think for a horizontal sketch, this one should go on a keeper list.  It has interest and your main image can be a pretty good size.  I am sure when Debbie got my card, she thought Easter already, but I am afraid I want have time to make as many cards as I need, so Easter early.  That way I can make an extra of each for my stash.  Debbie told me her monster dude is saying "I don't do before coffee"!  I have a friend that can relate it this!  For me, this doesn't apply as I don't drink coffee and I am my happy self when I wake up.  Sad but true.

See you tomorrow for the words of wisdom post.  Try to stay dry.  We are still getting rain here.  8 + inches = ridiculous!

Happy Stamping!

Easter Cards x 2!

Hello!  Today I am sharing with you the post that is on The Crafty Scrapper's blog today.  I realized just a few days ago, that it was on my calendar to have my design team creation ready to go for  today, so on short notice I did what I do best, make cards!  Of course, they might be a little cutesy for some of their tastes, but it is what it is.  I used papers and dies that I know they have in stock to sell, which is the most important, right?  Now, you, my blog followers will love the cutesy and know they look just like the cards that I love to make!  Enjoy!

Hello, Tina here, with two Easter cards featuring Impression Obsession dies!

Echo Park has two lines, one called Easter and one called Spring, that coordinate wonderfully together to create such pretty pastel Springtime cards.

Do you own the Sizzix Precision Base Plate?
It is a must for dies with intricate shapes, like the egg with the delicate swirls.
Be sure to get yours at The Crafty Scrapper.  You won't be disappointed!

I hope you liked my Easter card creations.
Be sure to check them out when you are at the store.

I am still working on cards for the ladies at church.  I am getting a little frustrated that it is taking me so long to get these done.  Yesterday, I was feeling creative and ideas were flowing ... I am out in my craft shack with Foxy (my dog) and it starts to rain and thunder.  She goes under my desk.  I even move her bed under there for her.  Well, it starts raining even harder and my craft shack is a metal building so it is very loud.  Then, I get a notification on my cell phone that there is a tornado warning.  (Out here in the country, there are no sirens).  Yes, you guessed it, I am now under my desk with Foxy!  As soon as it slows just a little, I am off running to the house.  Safe but wet.  A little scary, and the creativity gone with the rain!

Will try to get one of the cards ready to show for you tomorrow.
Happy Stamping!

March Class Share!

Hello!  I finished my class samples and so I want to share them with you.  I knew I wanted to do a fun card with the new chefs from My Favorite Things, but didn't know what else.  Then I thought of all the apron cards I had seen on Pinterest and thought there is a second card idea.  And then at the store, she had got in a mini Spellbinders die set of a mixer, and two utensils and I thought ... Cookin' Theme ... YES!  I think all three cards came out great and I hope both you and my class ladies do too!  Enjoy!

First, is the "chefs"!  A couple of years ago, we did a double slider card, but it was a little bit complicated.  I found a new easy, peasy version!  Here is the front of the card...

And then you pull the ribbon on the right and this happens...

And the inside ...

Next, is the apron card ...

And the inside ...

The last card is a double pocket card ...

Here is a photo of the two pull outs ...

And the inside ...

What do you think?  Won't it make a fun class?  Here are the details if you are interested.  Remember, you can always get a kit if you can't come or aren't local.

What's Cookin'?  March 30th 11:00 a.m. and April 2nd 2:30 p.m. $28
In this class, you will make three fun and creative cards with a cooking theme.  First, is a double slider card using the adorable chefs from My Favorite Things.  Next, is an apron shaped card, so fun!  And lastly, a double pocket card featuring a die set from Spellbinders.  Each of these will be perfect to give for many occasions.  Please bring adhesive to include 3M Foam Tape, scor-tape, small pop up dots, and a Xyron X (if you have one), a bone folder or other scoring tool, scissors and your preferred coloring medium.  (Copics I used: E00, E25, E50, B000, C0, C2, C7, R20, R27).  All other supplies provided.

I am off to my shack to complete the design team creation that is supposed to go live on Wed.  And then I have to finish the cards that I started working on for the ladies at church.

See you soon!
