Saturday's Sketch Share (On a Sunday!)
Hello! Sorry about being late again. I was off to teach yesterday before I realized I forgot to write the Saturday post. This class, with two wedding and two baby cards, was a hit! I had 20 class takers between the two days and the take home kits. So fun. Now, I will be working this week on the next class idea. But, before that, let me show you the week's cards, mine first, then Debbie's and the sketch we both used. Enjoy!
No matter what image you add, this is a great sketch! At least, Debbie and I thought so. Debbie's flower is so 3D and pretty, a photo just doesn't do it justice. I got this fun set of mice band members but this was the first time to ink up one of the cute images. Do you like the cards?
Happy Stamping!

It's A Girl!
Hello! On Saturday, I went to a gender release party for my niece and her husband. You see they had received a sealed envelope from their doctor the sex of the baby which they took to the Bundt cake place. The cake people put a pink rattle or a blue rattle in the middle of the cake for whatever was in the sealed envelope, then they added a big bow and wrapped the whole thing in plastic. So, when the cake was cut, Staci pulled out the rattle and it was PINK! It was so fun that even mommy and daddy didn't know before all of us! I knew only about a week before the party that my niece is pregnant. I immediately started thinking about where I could get my hands on a stamp that I could make a card with. I ended up with a digital image, which I don't really like doing, it feels cheating to me ... but finding a pregnant girl stamp, is hard to find! I had actually made this card with the pregnant girl image in yellows and greens and was ready to put it in the mail, when I got invited to the party. So, I decided to go ahead and send it and then make two more for the party, one in pink and one in blue. So, today, I have three cards to show you. Of course, the pink and blue one, are almost alike except for the color. Enjoy!
Is the pink & blue card idea not a hoot? Of course, I cased it from pinterest. See it here. On their card, they used those really tiny gold safety pins, but remember I live out in the country, so my retail choices are limited. Fortunately, I found these that were pretty small at, you guessed it, Walmart! Ironically, my class this week is baby and wedding cards, which when I came up with the samples, I knew nothing about a baby coming! So, I know I have two more ideas for cards to make!

Saturday's Sketch Share (On Sunday)!
Hello! Sorry I am late with the week's share. Yesterday, I left the house early to go to meet the Blue Star Mothers group of ladies (and my bestie, Donna, and her mom) at the Bush Library up in Dallas. From there, Donna and I drove to Fort Worth to attend a party for my niece to find out the sex of their baby. More about that on my post tomorrow as I have a card to share. It was a fun day but a long one! Let's get to the week's card. I will show you my card. Debbie's card and the sketch we both used. Enjoy!
As you can see, this was a tall and skinny card week. I think this sketch is a keeper, either in this skinny version or in an A2 size card version. I thought Debbie's little scene was fun and I was proud of me for stamping all those flowers as I so reminded me of "the old days"! You remember when there was no scrapbook paper, only what we made ourselves? Of course, I didn't do my card with no designer paper, as there is the striped piece behind the flower panel! What do you think of this week's cards?
See you tomorrow!

Saturday's Sketch Share!
Hello! I am back with the share between Debbie and I. I will show you my card, Debbie's card, and the sketch we both used. Enjoy!
At first glance of the sketch, it looks kinda busy, but seeing how the cards came out, I really think it is a keeper. I love it! Debbie used one of the crazy birds and made a birthday card for ME! My birthday is Monday! Yipee! I love her card. Thanks Debbie! As far as my card, are you thinking it is a little early for a summer theme? Well, not in Texas, as we have already had a few 90 degree days. I love summer papers and I found that this new pad can add to my collection of past summer 6 x 6 pads! This stamp set is from a defunct company and all the images are so fun, you will see it again, I am sure! What do you think about the sketch?
See you soon!

Father's Day Apron!
Hello! Below is the copied post that is on The Crafty Scrapper's blog today. Enjoy!
A couple of months ago, in my class, we did a girly apron card with flowers and ruffles.
I got to thinking that a guy version would make for a perfect
Father's Day card!
I got to thinking that a guy version would make for a perfect
Father's Day card!
Not every guy fishes, hunts, does sports, but most can grill a great steak or burger!
Here is another photo, this time with the card sentiment pulled out.
Another idea is to add a gift card in the pocket.
And here is the inside ...
The papers I used are new from Echo Park called Team Dad.
The sentiments came from my stash, but if you don't have them, you can easily computer generate something!
The card itself was done free hand with just a few cuts.
Easy, Peasy!
Be sure to check out my card in person when you are at the store!

May Class Share!
Hello! I finished my class samples for my next class. My original idea was to do one for wedding, one for baby and maybe one another occasion. But, when I went looking for ideas, I found too many fun choices for baby cards, and I knew picking just one was going to be hard, so I decided to pick two instead, which meant I had better do two wedding cards. It also meant that the other occasion card was not happening in this class, unless I was going up on the price, and I try very hard not to do that! So, two for wedding and two for baby. Here is the first wedding card ...
It is a gate fold card. I actually made a similar one for a lady at church that I have yet to show you. But, this class card, was kicked up a notch when I added the bouquet! It gives the card color and if you need a wedding card and know the colors we can make the change in class! Here is the way it looks when it is open ...
For the second wedding card, I had picked up this beautiful DP with roses. I thought it would make a beautiful wedding card. I also bought from the store a Spellbinders set of decorative tags that I wanted to incorporate into the card. I went looking for ideas and found this triple fold card, one that is new to me. It seemed perfect as it needed to have a belly band and I knew that would work great with the tag dies I wanted to use. Here is the card closed ...
And here it is opened. You can see the triple fold better ...
Okay, now switching to baby cards. I picked two different shaped cards to do. One I made for a baby girl and one for a baby boy. But, either card design would work for a baby boy or girl. First, is a onesie ...
And here is the inside ...
The second shaped card is a dresser ....
The onesie card we made first, will help us in making a mini one to hang from the dresser drawer! Here is the inside of the card ...
Below are the class details if you would like to come or would like a kit. Call the store at 972-923-3151.

Saturday's Sketch Share!
Hello! Another week of not creating, so you haven't seen me here. All week I have been thinking I must get to my next class samples, but I have found other things to do instead. Of course, now it's going to be crunch time! I did spend one morning getting the share card done and it is lovely, which meant I had some mojo going. I will show you my card, Debbie's card and the sketch we both used. Enjoy!
I guess I should have addressed this to flowers for you for Mother's Day, since we both did flower cards. For my card, I used a stamp and die set I got from My Favorite Things. I had been waiting to ink it up until I had some inks that would work better. You see, the Distress inks don't do all that well with the solid clear stamps. I got some ink pads used from My Favorite Things online and then Debbie sent me some duplicates from Simon Says. So far, my favorite are the MFT ones, but the colors Debbie sent me are in my fave color palette and they work good too, you just seem to have to wait for it, as they stamp kinda splotchy but go more solid as they dry. I know MFT changed their ink pads and I am thinking that the ones I got are before the change, so I really need to order the new ones and see if I like them too. Okay, that is my 2 cents on ink pads in Tina's world!

Saturday's Sketch Share (On Sunday)!
Hello! I guess I got my days mixed up ... this was my teaching week and as you know I usually teach on Wed. and Sat., but this week, I taught on Friday night, because of the Women's Tea at my church yesterday. Well, when I got back yesterday after the tea, I totally forgot that I had not done this post. I thought about it late last night, so I figured, I might as well wait until today. So, here I am. I will show you my card, Debbie's card, and the sketch we both used. Enjoy!
This sketch is a pretty good one, I think. I love the watercoloring that Debbie did on her little ballerina. It might be hard to see on here, but in person, it is lovely! My card came out pretty good, but I am not sure about the branch I used. The branch is in the same set as the owl and that is why I used it, but ... anyway, good cards, good sketch. Don't you think?
May brings birthdays (mine and the hubby's on the same day) and hopefully, it also will bring some creativity to my shack and me!
See you soon!
