Onesie Card Creation!

Hello!  A few days ago, I got asked if I could make a card for a baby shower.  I said okay and asked for a couple of details.  So, I found it was a girl, the baby's room is purple and mom likes monkeys.  In just a little while, I had my idea and off I went to make my card.  I cased the onesie idea from myself, from the class I taught a few months ago.  Here is my card.  Enjoy!

I love how it came out.  And I think they did too.  Speaking of babies, I am making a first 12 month baby book for my niece.  I have just started working on it.  She is not due until November, so I figure I have a few more months to get it done, but I tend to be a procrastinator, so I am working on it early when I can.

See you soon!

Saturday's Sketch Share (On Sunday!)

Hello!  I have yesterday's share between Debbie and I today.  I will show you my card first, then Debbie's and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

The Sketch

I really love how both cards came out.  Now, that my card is finished, I say I do like the sketch.  Wasn't sure when I first saw it though, as it seemed like a little busy!  I do want to make one note about my card and the way colors are.  I first stamped the "happy" in the teal, as seen on my card above, but didn't think I liked it, so then I stamped the "happy" in orange to match the paper, but went I started coloring the tree in the happy ... I changed my mine!  The tree just looked washed out  with the orange behind it, but with the teal, it popped.  Below is the "happy" stamped in orange so you can see what I am talking about.  Very interesting ...

I have one more card I made this week and I want to get in on here this month, so look for another post from me later today!

Saturday's Sketch Share (On Sunday)!

Hello!  Yesterday, I started prepping for my class that I am teaching this week and I totally forgot to get on the computer and set up the Saturday weekly post.  But, I am here now.  I will show you my card, Debbie's card, and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

The Sketch
As you can see, it is one of those "tall and skinny" weeks, where the cards are only 3 1/2' wide instead of the normal 4 1/4" wide.  It is fun to try something different one week a month, but truthfully, I am not sure I would do this if I was making a card to send.  Would you?  This week's sketch could easily be converted to the wider A2 and so for that reason, it is a keeper.  Do you like this week's cards and sketch?  I really do!

Waving Happy Birthday To You!

Hello!  I have a fun card to show you that I made for a long time friend (since 9th grade!).  I am older than her ... almost 2 months!  Ha, Ha!  Anyway, it is always fun to do cards stamped with older people images because we are there!  Here is my colorful, fun card.  Enjoy!

The image is large so that limits the sketch that will work.  Simple or not, it is so colorful it just makes me smile!  So funny!

See you tpmmorrow for the weekly share!

I Dig You on Your 25th!

Hello!  Today's card I made for my Godson who is turning 25!  It was a fun one to make ...enjoy!

I got it mostly done and thought, it wasn't very birthday like.  So, that is when I die cut the balloons, added the number sticker and drew in lines to attach to the snail.  Pretty cute!

I have one more for you that you haven't seen, so you tomorrow!

Sweet Summertime!

Hello!  Today I have two cards on The Crafty Scrapper's blog.  Below is the copied post and below that you will see a couple more photos of the melon card, a view from the top and the inside view.  Enjoy!

Hello, it is Tina, here again, with some sweet summer cards just for you!
Both cards are made with papers from Photoplay, Summer Daydreams line.

Those that know me, know I love shaped cards.
When I saw the paper line, I just had to make one!

The finished size card is a little less than 5" x 3".  I used various circle dies from my stash, so I was limited to the size of the card but what dies I had.  It was also fun to get to use some flowers and twine from my stash!

For my second card, continuing the summertime theme ...

I used a favorite stamp and die set from My Favorite Things.
I have one tip here for you, the stripes for the popsicles were stamped in the same color as the popsicle but going over the first layer of dried ink, it creates the illusion of a darker color!

Be sure to pick up these sweet papers and more when you are at the store!

I wanted you to see that the whole card got decorated.  Pretty cool!  Hope you like my cards.

See you tomorrow!

Strike Up the Band Shaker!

Hello!  Yesterday I showed you a card I made with the mice set from My Favorite Things.  That card was a double slider card.  Totday's card used the same set, but this time, I did a shaker card.  Enjoy!

Do you love how I fussy cut around the tops of the mice so that the shaker part is right above?  The only thing I don't like is the stamped music notes at the top.  I started stamping them and went, oh no, but had to finish and had to leave it or I would be totally remaking the card.  Nope!   I made it for the preacher's daughter who turned 18, she loves music, was in the band, etc.  Her mom said she likes cutesy, so I knew this would be a fun card for her.  She really liked it.  How about you, cute?

See you tomorrow.

Strike Up the Band Double Slider!

Hello!  I have a card for you today that I made for my niece earlier in the month.  I used a stamp set from My Favorite Things with adorable mice  Yes, mice can be adorable, if there aren't real!  A few months ago, in one of my classes, I taught a double slider card.  It is pretty easy to make but can be a "wow" for the receiver, so I decided to make one for her.  Here is the card.  Enjoy!

First, here is the card closed ...

Next, you pull the ribbon on the right, and both sides slide out ...

And then the inside is one more place to add another adorable mouse ...
I love how this one came out.  I know she liked it too!

I will see you tomorrow for another card.

Saturday's Sketch Share!

Hello!  I am back with the weekly share between Debbie and I.  I will show you my card, Debbie's card and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

The Sketch
What do you think of the sketch for this week?  I kinda like it.  As you know, there are many more vertical sketch ideas than horizontal ones, so it is nice to add one to the "go to list"!  The main panel is pretty large so that is helpful.  That duck image I used, I LOVE!  It just puts a smile on my face!  Silly me!

I have I think four cards that I made this week or before that I haven't shown you, so I will try to get them ready for some posts starting on Monday!

Have a good weekend!

July Class Share!

Hello!  This last week I worked on my class samples.  In fact, for at least two and a half days I worked on them pretty much non stop because I knew I really needed to finish them so I could take them to the store Friday when I went for crop night. I had hoped to show them yesterday, but my computer was acting funny, so I put it off until today.  Two months ago, we did baby and wedding, then last month, we did guy cards, so I figure I might as well continue the occasions with sympathy, anniversary and get well.  In fact, there are two sympathy cards because I added one for the loss of a pet because I figure even if you are not a pet person, you know someone who is.  Let me show you the cards.  Enjoy!

The first one is a double z-fold card ...

The next view is how it looks when it is pulled open ...

The second card is the pet sympathy one ...

The next two photos shows the way the card folds, the one on the left shows what you see when the front panel is open but I added the second photo so you can see that the orangy color cardstock is the panel that is the actual fold-over.

The third card is a Anniversary card.  First photo shows how it looks when it is received ...

Then the recipient pulls the ribbon ... and the message appears ...

And of course, it opens too ...

And finally, card four is a get well or in this case a get "whale" card.  Here it is closed ...
(looks a little like E.T. to me)!

But it opens, it looks like a whale again ...

And the next flap folds down to reveal the message panel ...

I love how all four came out.  I usually try to just do three cards for my classes, but she had gotten in the stamps set for pet sympathy so I just had to add it too!

For those interested in either coming to class or getting a class kit, here are the details ...

Saturday's Sketch Share!

Hello!  I have the weekly share between Debbie and I.  I will show you my card, then Debbie's and then the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

The Sketch
I think Debbie and I had the same thought when we saw this sketch, the thought of not real sure.  But, now that the cards are made, I really like the sketch, and I know Debbie thought the same thing too!  It is a perfect sketch when you have a fairly small image or sentiment and some pretty papers to use.
Thoughts?

I finished my class samples yesterday and in fact, they were taken to the store last night.  I will have the blog post showing them to you in the morning.  So, be sure to look for that!

Saturday's Sketch Share!

Hello!  I am back today with the share between Debbie and I.  Both are patriotic.  Let's get to it as I have a parade to go to!  (Just a neighborhood one, but always fun!)  I will show you my card, Debbie's card and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

The Sketch
Wow, Debbie that is special hand made firework paper you created, great job! I like how both cards came out.  On mine, the image I used has that rocket on the left side of the girl but I did some masking to remove it and then I cut out another to add to the right side for my embellishment.  Pretty proud of that idea!  What are your thoughts on the sketch?

Happy 4th of July weekend!
