Hello! I wanted to let you know I am in the middle of some personal life changes. That is why you haven't seen me, not even for the Sat. posts. Don't worry, you will not miss the weekly posts or the selection of Christmas cards I made before my personal event happened. You will just have to wait until 2017. And I will fill you in then too! Until then, say a prayer of strength for me and believe the above photo is how I feel about all of you!
Christmas Blessings to you and yours!

Saturday's Sketch Share!
Hello! I have another share for you today between Debbie and I. Enjoy!
This was another one that at first glance, I was not that crazy about the sketch, but once the card was done, love it! It is funny how that little tag above the rectangle looks like it will look out of place on the card, but then once the card is done, it just seems like is a great fit. Thoughts?
On a personal note, I am freaking out a little, as this week, I did not get my Christmas cards made as planned. So, now I have only from now until the early part of the week to get them made, plus wrap gifts and finish decorating the house. Yikes!

Each Day is a Gift!
Hello! I am interrupting the scheduled Christmas card making to share with you some gifts I made. I often go to lunch with two or three ladies from my church. I was asked by one of them to make some type of calendar that we could take to three ladies that have moved to an assisted living. I said no problem and I was off to decide if I should make ones like I have done before or go with a new style. Decided to do something new. To help me, I went with one stamped design in different colors for the 5 I made. (Yes, 5, as I figure I should also make them for the two ladies I am eating lunch with). So, one design but different colors, both in different colored ink as well as the matching cardstock. I still have a bunch of post it notes and tiny pens, so the design includes them. I have several photos to show you including some close ups of my stamping! Enjoy!
And then here are a few close ups of my stamping ...
They measure 4 1/2" x 6". I figure I could make them a little larger since they were to be given instead of sent. The stamp set is called Painted Flowers from Altenew. I like the way they came out. I hope they do too!
See you soon!

And here is the side version. I added a strip of chipboard toward the back to help it not be so front heavy, but not sure it helped that much.

Saturday's Sketch Share (On Monday)!
Hello! Did you think I forgot to show you the weekly cards? No, just busy. Last week we had fall cards, now we are switching to holiday ones. I will show you my card, Debbie's card and the sketch we both used. I also have a bonus card to show you. It is done with similar papers and different colors, but basically the same card. Enjoy!
I wasn't too sure about the sketch at first, but after creating my card, I think I like it. You do need a smaller image, however, Debbie's image was a little larger and it worked too! So, that helps to give a couple different ideas for the same sketch, which is what our two cards every week are supposed to do! Do you like the cards and the sketch this week?
I am done teaching for the year. And I already have an idea about my January class but I can't think about that yet, as I have a bunch of Christmas cards to make. My plan is to design one and make several of that one and then go on to the next one, so hopefully, as that happens, I can get them on here to share.
See you soon!

Saturday's Sketch Share (On Sunday)!
Hello! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I have two more cards with a Thanksgiving theme to show you today with the share between Debbie and I. Enjoy!
As you can see, it is one of the skinny card sketches, but I see no reason why this sketch would not work for a regular A2 size card. Debbie and both loved the sketch, and you can see why! So versatile! I guess you will start seeing Christmas from both of us every week. I am not sure what the next few week's sketches are but I hope they are good ones as I will need to be making more than one so I have enough cards to send out! But, first, I have one last class to prep for and teach this week!

A Catch Up with Two Baby Cards and a Wedding Card!
Hello! I see that I have three cards that were given or sent in the last couple of months so I have decided to show you all three in one catch up post. I am "supposed" to be cleaning house for family coming on Thanksgiving, but anything I can do that is not that, I am on it! Ha, Ha. Enjoy!
First up is a card I made for my new Great Niece. I had gotten these tiny baby icon dies that I wanted to use so I had to do another shaker card!
Can you see them? There are rattles, pins and ducks! I added some light pink beads and sequins too! I found out at the shower that she has some owls in the baby's room, so that is why I went with the owl theme. I used more paper left over from when I made her baby book and I did the sentiment on the computer in the same font too! Came out pretty cute!
Next, I have a boy baby card, that I made for a friend at church. I made a similar one a while back and so I just cased it!
And then last but not least, I have a wedding card that I made for Gary's grandson who got married. I used a heart die that I got way back in the summer. Love it ...
The heart die border creates a pocket where I added money.
I hope you have a Great Thanksgiving with family and friends! I will see you on Saturday for one last Thanksgiving card creation for the share.

Saturday's Sketch Share Doubled!
Hello! Today I have both last week's share and this week's share for you! What is interesting is one is a vertical card and one is a horizontal card. It is if I planned it, but you know I didn't, as you know I am late only because of my crazy class last week! So, let's do it. I am going to show you my card, Debbie's card and the sketch and then repeat the process! And then I'll give my two cents about all of them! Enjoy!
I had received Debbie's squirrel card before I made my squirrel card, but I didn't remember she had done a squirrel, so that was not planned. I think it is humorous though, especially since the squirrels around my house have been having a hay day way up high in the trees dropping acorns. When the acorns hit our metal carport it sounds like the sky is falling! As far as the sketch goes on that one, I think it is a pretty good one and you can see that anything can be substituted for the stars on the sketch. Speaking of the stars, when I saw the stars on the sketch on Monday, I thought of the fact that I was going on Monday night to help the Blue Star Mothers pack boxes to send to the troops and usually Donna and I make cards to add to the boxes. Donna is still with her mom at the hospital, so I thought I needed to figure out how to turn this card into a dual purpose. I couldn't make the sketch with the stars work, the squirrel idea was better for that one. But, I did on the second card. It is half Christmas and half patriotic! It worked. This sketch both Debbie and I liked. And of course, it being an horizontal one is good, as there are not as many of those sketch layouts. Do you like the cards, the sketches? What is your take?

December Class Share!
Hello! Did you think the crazy class got the best of me and that is why you didn't see me last week? Well, it almost did. I usually have both my Wed. and Sat. classes prepped before the Wed. class, but not last week. After teaching on Wed., I still had a bunch of die cutting and kitting to do for the Sat. class. I think I finished and was ready for the Sat. class at 9 p.m. on Friday night! So, needless to say, I didn't get the weekly card created. So, this week, I played a little catch up and got both last week's share card and this week's share card done. I think I will give you a double dose of shares on Saturday, so be sure to look for that post. Next, was the task of getting my class samples made for my December class, which is only two weeks away! Traditionally, for my December class I do some tags, usually three to four, a gift card holder and sometimes another something, like last year, I think we did a wine bottle tag topper. This year, there are four projects which include a gift card holder, a treat box, and two tags. I decided to stop at two tags because they both have a lot going on and quite a few steps for each. I can't wait to show you them ... so let's do it! Enjoy!
First, I found a super easy idea for a gift card holder. Did I mention that all four projects feature Lawn Fawn stamps and dies?
Here is the front of the gift card holder...
And then when you open it up, the gift card pops up ...
Here is a side view of the box ...
Now, let me show you the tags. The first one is a smaller, tag version of a card I taught a few months ago. So cute ...
First, the tag closed ...
And opened ...
Last but not least, is a shaker tag ...
I love all four projects in this class. If you do too, and would like to come to class or interested in a kit, let me know or call The Crafty Scrapper at 972-923-3151. Here are the class details ...
Gifting with Lawn Fawn! Wed. Nov. 30th 11:00 a.m. and Dec. 3rd 2:30 p.m. $28
In this class you will create four projects all using Lawn Fawn holiday stamps and dies. First, there is a gift card holder that has a fun inside pop up. Next, is a treat box with a tiny tag embellishment, Then there are two tags, one, a fun tag version of the double z fold card we made in a recent class, and last but not least, you will create an adorable shaker tag. Please bring adhesive to include micro glue dots, pop up dots, scor-tape in 1/8", a ruler, a bone folder and your preferred coloring medium. (Copics I used: GC holder: E31, E35, R21, R27, G07, G12, Tag 1: B000, R27, BG75, YR14, Tag 2: B01, R24, Y15, N1, E25, E29, YG09). All other supplies provided.
See you tomorrow for the double share!

Saturday Sketch Share!
Hello! I am here on time, that is a big wow, since I am in the middle of prepping for my crazy class! My class is full which is awesome but that means that every die cut has to be cut 72 times, see why I say crazy? Okay, let's get to the share so I can get back to the craziness! I will show you my card, Debbie's card, and the sketch we both used. Enjoy!
As you can see, we have now switched to fall cards. Love how both of them came out. This sketch is kinda fun and always glad to have horizontal sketches in my idea box. No, I don't actually have a box but it is a good idea. Print off favorites and add to a box with categories like horizontal or vertical or even with circles, ovals, etc. It is a thought, but it won't be this week! Anyway, I hope you like the cards this week.
I think I still have maybe two or three cards I need to get on here to show you, at some point. The two weeks prior to this week, I have been working on the crazy class just not all day, every day. This week I kicked it into high gear and that is pretty much all I have done for several days now. Four more days to class. Yikes!
Have a great weekend!

Saturday's Sketch Share (on Sunday)!
Hello! I am either a tad late or a tad early if I wanted to share with you our last two Halloween sketch cards! I love Halloween and in past years I have sent some cards, but this year, I just ran out of time. Truthfully, there was one day early in the week that I felt like was my last chance to make a few, and what happened that day? I bought a new car! And so, I wasn't home to create like I thought would be. Let's get to today's cards, mine, then Debbie's and then the sketch we both used. Enjoy!
Both cards came out great! I got this Halloween set of images from Stampendous that were in parts, like the head, the body, the arm, and the legs were all separate stamps. How perfect for this sketch as I needed some space between the body and the legs. I wish I could have done some other cards with the other images like a witch, Dracula, etc. Next year! I love how on Debbie's card, she made the main panel a fun designer paper and then added her image on top of the horizontal strip. Her doing that shows me that this sketch is more versatile than I thought it was. Thoughts?
Happy Halloween!

Cards for Fishermen x 2!
Hello! A couple days ago, I showed you three cards for hunters, today, I have two cards for fisherman. These were all made for an order from a friend at church who wanted hunting and fishing men birthday cards. I own a lot of whimsical, cute fish stamps, but I really felt that for these I needed some fish images that were more realistic, not so cutesy, of which I do not own. But, I have great friends who I can borrow from! My friend Karolyn provided me with two fish stamps (can't remember the company name, but I can find out if interested). Here are two fishing cards for you... enjoy!
I wasn't exactly sure about coloring the fish, but I tried to just follow the image on the designer paper. Remember the Hunter's Prayer I found for the hunting cards? Well, I also found a Fisherman's Prayer, so I added it to the inside of this card.
My second card uses a realistic fish along with a little humor! Again, I wasn't sure about coloring. I found an image on Pinterest and tried to follow it. I think it worked!
My friend had this teeny die of a fishing pole from Taylored Expressions so I combined it with this great big fish and used a sentiment from My Favorite Things. On the inside I thought I could a fun sentiment would match.

Cards for Hunters x 3!
Hello! A while back, a friend from church asked me if I could make her some fishing and hunting birthday cards for men. I said, oh sure, I can make any theme you want. All the while, I was thinking in my head, why I am saying yes to hunting, I have no hunting stamps! I did have to get a little creative. First was to find me some hunting papers, then do a little internet search, and then also pull out some stamps I haven't used in a long time. All this equals to the three cards I have to show you today. Enjoy!
This paper from Bo Bunny had all kinds of animals, bears, moose, in the trees in an all over pattern. I simply picked three places of the sheet that had deer and die cut them out into circles. I thought the sentiment from my stash was perfect. Could either apply to hunting or birthdays!
This second card also has some designer paper, the camouflage one is from Reminisce. This is where the internet came in. I found this awesome Hunter's Prayer on Pinterest. So, I just picked a font on my home computer and printed it out onto some Kraft colored paper. Add the copper brads on the card added some interest.
This one is the most impressive to me, as I, and that is a capital I, created that little scene in the oval with some Stampscapes stamps that I haven't used in a while! Stamps included the trio of small pines, which I stamped more than once, the large tree, that appears in the front, the deer, and two different ground coverings. I stamped all the images in black onto glossy white paper. Then I used the Tim Holtz Ditress inks and sponges to add some color. It is not perfect, but this it got the job done! And adding some designer paper, complete the card.
Tomorrow, I will be back with two fishing cards, one I have already shown you, like a month ago.
Happy Stamping!
