November Class Share!

Hello!  I told you last week I would be back on Monday if I found out I could teach my November class.  I found out it was a "go", but didn't get it on here.  You know how it is when you start a job and have to get adjusted to new hours.  I have always been a night owl and that is a time when I craft but when you are getting up at 5ish, that late night stuff gets squashed!  Here's is the deal.  I have taken a job at USPS for a rural postal carrier out of Tyler (which is an hour away).  I know this is going to be a hard job starting out until I "get it".  But, the money will be good and I need that after not working for a quite a few months.  November 11th is a USPS holiday plus, still training, I will have that day to teach!  I decided it would be best for me to move my December type class to November and  not teach in December.  I still want to teach next year, but I guess at this point, I think it is best to get past Christmas and then see what kind of hours I will have in January to figure out when I could maybe teach.

The Crafty Scrapper got in this line of stamps with dies that create flaps on your card, so I am teaching it in this class with a card and a tag and then I added two more tags.  Well, the last one is actually a tag in a tag!  I also have a surprise bonus planned for the class takers.  Let me show you the card, with it's many inside flaps and the tags.  Enjoy!

For the card, the lift up flaps are all on the inside.  Here is how it looks when you open the card.

It is kinda hard to see above but there is a tab above the sentiment where the recipient will pull the flap and they see ...

This flap goes to the left and you see...

Another flap ... then to the right to see the last sentiment!  (Excuse my fingers in these photos!)

How fun!  I just couldn't stop there and decided to also do a tag to show another flap idea ...

Next photo shows what is under the top flap...

The bottom flap ...

And the center flap ...Too Cute!

Here is the view from the back.  Must have a place to add your own message!

Next tag is a tag with sliding movement ...

And the backside for your message ...

The last tag is the tag in a tag.  The main tag has a pocket to place the pull out tag...

Here is the front side of the tag pulled out ...

And the backsides!

Here is the class description.  I really hope you can come!

You are Tie-rific!

Hello!  Today's creation was an add on to my May Class.  Enjoy!

As you can see, this business envelope is transformed into a perfect size treat bag for your man that likes chocolate.  Here is what you do... Seal the envelope and then cut about 1/4" off one end.  Cut about 1 1/8" down on the front layer right in the middle.  And fold down  to create what looks like a collar.  Cut a tie shape from pattern paper and glue under the collar.  For some depth, I cut the "knot of the tie" again and popped up over the tie shape.  A brad makes for a nice tie tack.  Add a sentiment strip and you are done!  Easy Peasy!

Spring Carousel 10 Pocket Mini!

Hello!  Yesterday, I felt embarrassed that I had not shown you graduation projects from May and June.  Well, today's project is from April!  So even worse.  I taught this at the Spring Carousel at The Crafty Scrapper.  Better late than never ... enjoy!

The little book opens up to reveal 10 pockets!  Next photos show both the front side and the back side all opened up!

Graduation 2017 for My Granddaughter!

Hello!  I am embarrassed to say that I am only behind 5 months in showing you the creations that were made for my granddaughter's high school graduation.  At least they are on here now, right?  First up, shows a few different views of the box card I made for her.  The pocket in the back held her "cash" Enjoy!

Next, is her graduation hat which she brought to me a few months before for me to decorate.  I did the decoration on black glitter cardstock and then added Velcro on her actual hat, in case it needed to be removed.  Here is the decorated hat... enjoy!

Her school colors are black and yellow but I wanted a third color and I went with red, because she likes red!  The next photo shows her in a row of others with pretty hats!

And then you have a photo of my beautiful granddaughter holding the hat!

Her birthday was about a month later, so I printed out a bunch of photos and went to work on making something to "house" them.  I decided an explosion box would be fun!  I made the box to look like a graduation hat ...

My thought was to add her actual tassel to the button on top.  But it was bigger than my box!  Oh well!  Here is a close up view of the side ...

I can't tell how many times in one of my classes, I have spoke about one of the fancy cards and saying how the recipient will go "wow" when they open it.  Well, this happened just like that.  It was so cool!  And the best feeling in the world!  So the next photo shows how it "exploded" out when the lid came off ...

Here is a nice close up of the center ...

Next photo shows you how the next layer of photos would be seen ...

The last layer of photos was behind these instructions on all 4 sides.  Thanks Lawn Fawn for making useful stamps!

 And then, completely open ...

 Happy Stamping!

Life Updates and Six Halloween Cards for YOU!

Hello!  I have no excuses why I can't seem to spend my time writing blog posts so you can see what cards and projects I have made through the year.  Every time something is made, I take a picture, but that is it.  And now, on Monday, I am going to be starting a new job!  Yes, finally!  I have tried for four months to get on at a post office.  I really thought I wanted a clerk position, but started a couple of months ago, trying to even get a rural carrier job. And sent applications out for any opening of post offices within an hour of my home.  So, orientation will start on Monday for a Rural Postal Carrier out of Tyler (which is an hour away).  But a foot in the door is worth a lot.  I don't know yet how many hours I might work.  They said that a carrier is only guaranteed one day a week, but I really feel with the holidays looming ahead, this might be different.  We will see.

Today, I am showing you six Halloween cards that I made card kits of for a friend.  Three of the cards I also put on the store's (The Crafty Scrapper) blog.  They are all really cute, especially the ones using the Lawn Fawn stamps!  Enjoy!

I told you they were CUTE!  My favorite are the two cards with the Howl-o-ween pups.  I wanted to add these to the store blog but when I was there teaching my "crazy class, I saw that they were out of stock plus the papers I used came from my stash.

Speaking of my "crazy class" ... it truly was CRAZY.  Do you know I made 34 kits and sold every single one of them?  I even sold one more than I made, because had a sign up that I didn't know about.  Thankfully, two employees that work at the store, graciously helped me out with that!  On the Saturday class, I think I had the biggest class I have ever had with like 19 ladies!  That could only work with my kind of class where most of it is done for them ahead of time by ME!  There were a bunch of very late nights trying to get everything ready but everyone that took the class loved it and that is so awesome!

Are you wondering about my teaching along with new job?  You can wonder right along with me.  Because at this point, truthfully, I am not sure.  On a good note, my next class for the Saturday class  is on November 11th and I "think" that it is a USPS holiday.  I am going to ask, for sure, on Monday.  I am right now in the middle of working on class samples for that class, hoping I can teach it.  Normally, I do two Christmas card class months and then my December class is tags and a gift card holder.  But, I have decided it is best to do the kind of class that I do in December with the tags for November.  If I see it is a "go", I will post on Monday my next class samples.

I also hope to get posts of photos of cards and projects on my blog.  May just say "Catch Up" but at least they will be on here.

See you soon!
Happy Stamping!

October Class Share!

Hello!  Here I am again with another class post but not getting caught up on the in between posts.  And that is because I am so busy making card kits for classes or to sell that on my down time I am away from the computer in the craft room, often in front of my big 55 inch tv!  Sad, but true!  And this class, is going to make me busy every day until class time.  Because it is my CRAZY class!  This is the third year I have taught it and every time, once I start to prep, and think of how many die cuts or stamped images I need, I think ...what were you thinking?  It is a great deal for the customer and I really do love that!  I do 90% of the work for them, and once they do the steps to complete each card they have a card they can say they made.  Can't get better than that.    So, here we go again!  On the store website and newsletter, they saw a group photo of the cards, but on here, you can see each one ... all 15 of them!  Enjoy!

Now I think that is a great selection of Christmas cards.  What do you think?  Each card kit will also include a colored cardstock panel and a white panel stamped with a sentiment for the insides.  Below are the details if you are interested in either coming to class or would like a kit.  The store's number is 972-923-3151.  Or send me a message.

6 x 6 Christmas Card Bonanza! (aka Tina's Crazy Class!)  Wed. October 11th 11:00 a.m. and Sat. October 14th 2:30 p.m.  $50
For the third year, I am bringing to you the ladies most favorite class, and also one that makes me think, I must be crazy!  You will follow my samples to create 15 complete cards in class!  In addition, as part of your kit, you will receive the remaining half of a 6 x 6 pad from Echo Park called A Perfect Christmas, my detailed instructions and measurements for each page left in your pad, so that you can cut the remaining sheets, add your own white cardstock bases to create a second set of cards at home.  Plus, you will also receive all stamped and die cut images, all the colored panels and inside sentiment panels for your "to go kits"!  If 15 cards are plenty, then you will have embellishments, colored cardstock panels, and half of a 6 x 6 pad to create other items with.  I have a limited number of pads so make sure you don't get left out!  Please bring adhesive to include pop ups, mini or micro glue dots, an X by Xyron (if you have one), detailed scissors, and your preferred coloring medium.  (Copics I used: B12, BG10, C0, C7, R25, E00, E29, E31, E35, E41, E50, E57, G19, G46, R11, R27, Y11, Y17, Y35, YG63,YR15, YR23, W2).  All other supplies provided.
