Texas Forever!

Hello!  I have my Texas Tues-Step card for you, even though I am a little late in getting it up on the blog.  Sorry about that.  What would I say about today's card?  "Look ma, no hands ... Or in this case ... look Mark, no designer paper"!  You see, Mark with Deadbeat Designs, who is also on the Texas team, has been giving me a hard time about all the scrapbook paper I usually use on my cards.  He knows that when I owned the stamp store, I didn't rely on scrapbook papers to make backgrounds, I used stamps!  Well, for today's card I did just that!  Enjoy!

It is also a pretty simple card compared to my usual.  In my head, I could see it with another image above the Texas Forever, but then when I started working on it, I decided to keep it simple and let the Texas Forever sentiment be the main focal point.  I like how it turned out.  I clear embossed the individual Texas stamp to create the background.  And the Texas Forever is also embossed in a Denim blue.

Recipe:
Paper - Cardstock Kraft, Red, Med Blue (Stampin'Up I think)
Stamps - Deadbeat Designs
Ink - Versamark, JudiKins Clear embossing powder, Ranger Adirondack Denim embossing powder, Heat Gun, Red Tombow marker
Tools - Classic Circle Nestibilities, Sizzix Dots & Scallops 12" border die
Other - Denim baubles by Stamping Bella

Be sure to check out the other Texas team's blogs and see what Texas-y cards they have for you today. You can find the list on the right side of my blog.  Remember to leave comments, as we all love to hear what you think!

See you tomorrow!  Happy Stamping!
Tina

  3. Great card Tina. Don't let Mark harass you too much, but I do have to say in this instance the no use of PP is perfect.

  4. There are stamper-stampers and there are scrapper-stampers. I'm a stamper-stamper and can't use scrap paper on my cards to save my life (not because I don't want to! - just can't get the look I want somehow!). You do both so well, Tina. I love that Texas forever stamp and how you embossed it in blue. Cute!
