Wonderful Flowers!

Hello!  Last week one of ladies from church asked me to make her a card for another church lady and she wanted it to "say friend", so this is what I came up with.  The result is very pretty but the day I was working on it, which I think would have been last Saturday, I was having one of those non -creative days, where everything you try, you hate and it is like pulling teeth to get it to all come together!  Fortunately, those days seem to only happen occasionally for me.  Let me show you my card ... enjoy!

I had these ovals on my desk from one of the last classes where I had cut more than I needed, so I decided to stamp the flowers onto one of them.  But, then I decided I needed a sketch with an oval to make the card come together.  I went to my go-to sketch folder and found that there really aren't that many sketches that have ovals, which is crazy, because I use my oval dies a lot.  So, the end result is a simple sketch, but still so pretty.

Recipe:
Paper - My Minds Eye Memorable 6 x 6 pad, Cardstock White, Pink
Stamps - Flowers from Rubbernecker Poppy Field, Sentiment from Penny Black
Ink - Memento Black, Marvy Matchables Wine & Bubble Gum Pink for solid flowers
Tools - Spellbinders Classic Oval, Classic Scallop Circle, Classic Circle, Lifestyle Crafts Blossom embossing folder (love this!)
Other - Pink Pearls, Ribbon by May Arts

Before I take off, I need to promote The Crafty Scrapper's Make in Take Event that is happening on Saturday that I will be participating in.  They are also celebrating 8 years in business!  Here is the details about that ...

I already have tomorrow's post written and ready for you.  See you then.
Happy Stamping!
Tina

  1. Hey, Tina, I really like your card , especially that great poppy stamp and the lush color you chose. Is that a two step stamp? or did you just color it in? Great job!~Terry Y.
