The Journey is the Reward!

Hello!  I know you haven't seen me for a few days.  I really don't have any excuses, I have been out in my room a little this week, but I haven't got too many projects completely done, well except for the one I have to show you today.  I sent it to a friend for her birthday, which was yesterday.  I so hope that she has received it by now or if for some reason she hasn't, she doesn't see it here first.  My friend, Teresa, loves to make tags and so I decided I should do one for her.  But, after I finished my tag, I decided it needed a holder, so I made a pocket card for it to fit into.  So, the way I am looking at this is, it is a little bit her style, and a little bit my style combined.  Let me show you ... enjoy!

Teresa has tons of different kinds of inks to make wonderful backgrounds on her tags.  From my Imprints store days, one of my favorite inks for backgrounds I found was the alcohol inks.  I used to always do this technique on glossy cardstock, but I couldn't find my stash of this, so I decided to just see what the alcohol inks looked like on a manila tag.  I liked it and so that is what I did.  But the coolest thing is that I added some additional color on top of the background with my copics.  Very subtle but so cool!  And the best part to me about the whole project is that I got to use some of my Paula Best stamps, which I never use, but still love!  What do you think of my tag and pocket card?
