I really wasn't that crazy about the card, as I really think it is a little "busy" but it was ready to go, so I sent it. This umbrella is a die cut from The Stamps of Life. It is open so those black lines you see that separate the umbrella panels were drawn with a pen. There is a matching set of stamps that has solid umbrellas and several great coordinating sentiments, like the one I used on my card. I played around with the solid umbrella stamps but I could not get them to stamp without the ink beading up on the clear polymer, which you see when you stamp it on paper. A friend told me that she stamps her clear polymer stamps with staz-on and lets it dry on there to relieve the issue. I did this and even it did not seem to help. So, the question is ... am I doing something wrong or is it an issue with this company's stamps? Your thoughts? Until I figure this one out, I will just stick to the die cut umbrella ... that part of this card is pretty cute! And, did you like the raindrop shaped rhinestones I used to keep the theme going? What do you think?

I have always heard that Staz-On is NOT good for acrylic/polymer stamps. In fact I ruined some of mine before I learned this> :)
ReplyDeleteStamp the clear stamp with Ranger Archival ink and that will "cure" it. It should stamp fine after that.
Loving your cards!
