Hello! I had so much fun participating in DeNami's last blog hop, I am doing it again! Welcome to all the "hoppers"! If you came from Beverly Montez's blog, you are on the right track! If you want to start from the beginning or if you get lost along the way, click on the Blog Hop badge above and it will take you back to home base. Now, let me get to my cards! Yes, I have two! Here is the first one ... enjoy!
Every year, for one of my Christmas cards, I like to do a card with a winter scene and this stamp with Mimi snow skiing is perfect! When I stamped her in brown, the snowflakes and the snow on the ground came out in brown also. So, I went over these with a white gel pen and then added glitter with a quicky glue pen on top of that. Remember, holiday cards don't always have to be in traditional colors, especially if they are winter scenes!
Recipe:

Now, my next card will show you how one stamp has many possibilities. For this holiday card, I used Mimi with Birthday Cake. Yes, you read correctly! It is this stamp ...
And this is the result ... here is my holiday card ...
Don't you love how it came out? I know I was supposed to be using Christmas stamps, but I had this idea, and couldn't resist showing it to you! You should have seen me jumping for joy when I found this perfect scrapbook paper with all sizes of presents on it, including a small one of a perfect size for Mimi to hold! My other favorite detail on the card, is how I made the ribbon appear to be on top of a present. I think I will be making more of these to send!

ReplyDeletePaulina's question for today was, "What are your favorite colors to use in XMas cards?" My immediate thought was, "Tourquoise and neon pink!" So I am very happy to see the wonderful skiing Mimi in these beautiful colors you chose! I love this card and the idea of more of a wintery theme versus a holiday theme.
