Hello! I am back today to show you the second of the three Easter cards I made to send. Today's card is a fun one. I just can't keep my hands off of the Verve set of chickies and sayings I recently got. So cute. Let's get right to it. Here is my card ... enjoy!
The inside verse is from the Our Craft Lounge set I got that had the cute bunny that I used on this card. I love this sentiment! So perfect with any little Easter chick! The layout for the front of the card is one of the sketch challenges from Viva laVerve for April. This particular challenge is one where to get in on any of the prizes, you have to do all four weeks of sketches, so normally if I didn't think I could do all the sketches in a month, I wouldn't do any of them. But, I decided this sketch was just too perfect not to use. So, next week ... I might be trying to complete the other three! Plus, I still have Jen's sketch I have to do. But, back to this week ... here is the sketch I used.
One of the reasons why I went with this sketch was I wanted to use that cute chick paper which I had already used for a previous card here, but I only had one 12 x 12 and now not a whole sheet. I thought there was enough left to made seven cards ... not! I could only make the chick paper go as far as five cards. So, I had to go with another design for the last two. Here is that one ... I don't like this one layout as much. But, what's a girl to do? I already had the chick and basket colored and cut out ready to use, so this is what I came up with.
Recipe:
Paper - American Crafts Spring Line, Cardstock White, Pale Yellow, Coral Pink
Stamps - Verve set Chicks Rule
Ink - Versafine Black, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol
Tools - Classic Ovals Nestibilities, Marvy Corner Rounder, Cuttlebug Seeing Spots embossing folder
Other - Rhinestones, Button, Twine by The Twinery, Linen Thread by The Cat's Pajamas (When adding buttons, I still like using the linen thread instead of the twine. Easier to thread thru the holes!)
I will have one more chickie card for you tomorrow. So be sure to come back by! And I have one quote to leave you with today ... " Easter is the only time when it's a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket!"
Happy Stamping!
Tina
