Christmas in July #7!

Hello!  For the past 6 days I have shown you Christmas cards that I made in December of 2016.  I knew I wanted to show you sometime in July.  I almost let the month get away from me.  But today is the 31st and today I have the last card of 2016 to show you ...perfect!  Enjoy!

What a pretty card this one is!  I love the poinsettia dies and the added pine branches is an added nice touch.  I think the seasons greeting die is one I borrowed from a friend, but making my own set of Christmas in July cards, I wished I had this one ... gonna have to buy it before this December!

Even though I don't have any more Christmas cards to show you, I still have plenty of others to get  caught up showing you, so I will be back soon to continue!

Happy Stamping!

Christmas in July #5!

Hello!  Today's cards, actually made in December of 2016, used pieces that I had cut and stamped for a class card kit that didn't get sold.  So, I created some fold over cards with the pieces.  Enjoy!

Do you see the silver circles?  Remember those are scratch off stickers and so that means that I had stamped fun little sentiments under each of the circles so that the card recipients could scratch them and see the words!  How fun!

See you tomorrow for more Christmas in July creations.

Christmas in July #3!

Hello!  I am back with two more Christmas in July cards that were made in December of 2016.  This set of tree dies from Impression Obsession is a set I couldn't find last week when I was making a current set of Christmas in July cards.  No biggie but hopefully, I will find them by this coming December.  I like this sketch on this one, hope you do too!  Enjoy!

Similar cards, but slight different sketch and different papers changes the whole look.

Christmas in July #2!

Hello!  Back today with another Christmas card I made in December of 2016.  Interesting enough, I see that the stamp I used, and the sketch are both ones I picked for the new Christmas in July cards I made last week (see last Saturday's post).  Obviously, I like little Rudy her and the sketch too!  Enjoy!

FYI, the stamp set is from Verve stamps.
See you tomorrow for another Christmas in July card.

Christmas in July #1!

Hello!  If you missed last Saturday's post,  be sure to scroll down to see it because I showed you 16 Christmas cards I made last week!  Unlike today's post and the ones every day this week, are cards that I made in December of 2016, just a few days before I left Gary.  I wasn't able to show you because I didn't have access to my computer for a couple of months.  And then I decided I would wait until July to show you.  Get to it girl ... July is almost over!  Enjoy!

As you can see, there are two color variations of the same card.  I have always liked this fun little set of stamps from Inky Antics.

See you tomorrow for another Christmas in July card!

Christmas in July x 16!

Hello!  Next week, I will be showing some of the cards that I made last December that I haven't shown show you.  I thought July would be a good time to get caught up on those!  But today's cards are not from last year.  This group I made this week!  Yep, I did!  You see at the scrapbook show, I picked up some Echo Park 6 x 6 pads at a pretty good price and thought you know what, I think I will use them to create some cards.  I will be ahead of the crazy Christmas season rush and I might even sell a few.  One half of the pad made these 16 cards ... enjoy!

These are complete cards and by that I mean I added a matching colored panel and a white panel with a sentiment stamped on each.  If you are interested, in kits, email me.

Level Up!

Hello!  I realized a little while ago that I hadn't set up a post for today.  The day is not over, so I do have a card for you today.  I made this one for a girl I worked with briefly (the job I had a couple of months ago).  She was turning 21 and was a big video gamer so I found a pattern for a cool controller.  She liked it and it made for a fun and unique card.  Enjoy!

Sunflower Love!

Hello!  Today's card is one that I actually made into kits for a friend to send out for Mother's Day.  You see that is kinda a new side business for me.  I have friends that seem to like me to create a card but instead of making it, I give them all the pieces, just like a mini class kit.  That way when they put the card together, they can say they made it themselves, which they did but they don't have to spend the time to design it, gather and match papers, stamp images, etc.  I help them out and I make a little, which right now with still not finding a job, every dollar helps!  This card came out great!  Enjoy!

On this card I did the "out of the box" technique where the stamped image goes over the die cut.  Pretty easy to do and is a great idea when the image is just a little too large for the die cut you are wanting to use.

See you tomorrow for another card.

New Address Card!

Hello!  I am continuing with cards and projects that I made early in the year but I haven't shared on my blog.  Today's card I made to send to family and friends announcing my new address.  A good friend got me a stamp that perfectly fits my situation and I knew I wanted to add to my card but I also wanted to do a more typical type address card, so I decided to do a non fold-over and add the sentiment to the backside along with my new address info.  I love how it came out.  Enjoy!

Perfect quote, right?  The mailbox is a Lawn Fawn set of dies and the little letters is from a matching stamp set.  Love!

See you tomorrow!

Praying for You Cards Week 8!

Hello!  Today I have the last set of praying for you cards to show you.  I had a little trouble in getting the lady to pay me for the card sets I was sending each week and then out of the blue, I get an email stating that someone in their church is a crafter and that she would be letting her make the cards and that she would no longer need my services.  I have mixed feelings because I did feel like this was a little money coming in and since I still haven't found a job, any little bit helps.  But, then with her not paying as promptly as I would have liked and the fact is that 8 cards every week is a little bit difficult to get done along with other projects, like classes. I guess it is okay. It is what it is.  Anyway, here are the cards for week 8.  I did a horizontal version of one I did in week one where you die cut two layers at the same time with a stitched border die creating an interesting card effect. And the best part is that you get two cards done basically with just one cut.  See the cards below.   Enjoy!

I also made a couple of other cards without cutting the panels at the same time.  This was harder because the lines didn't always match exactly.  Here are those...

I love how all of these cards came out.  All 8 sets are great cards especially for sympathy as you really do need something more simple for this occasion.  So, if you are in need of sympathy card ideas, you will know where to find to them!

I still have lots of cards to catch you up on.  Thanks for your patience!

Praying for You Cards Week 7!

Hello!  I am back with another set of praying for you cards I made for a church in Fort Worth.  This one was so simple but it still has some interest because of different papers I used.  Enjoy!

Praying For You Cards Week 5!

Hello!  Every day this week has been all about sets of praying for you cards that I made for a church in Fort Worth.  Today's set is so simple and an easy trick makes each perfect.  I will give you the scoop on the trick to make the card after I show you the cards.  I made most of the cards with a pretty paper, obviously to be sent to a female,  and then a couple of designs more masculine.  Enjoy!

Okay, here is the trick ...cut the designer paper at 4" x 4" and cut a diagonal slash and adhere to your card panel leaving space to add a sentiment!  Easy Peasy!

See you tomorrow for the next set.

Praying for You Cards Week 4!

Hello!  I am in the middle of showing you 7 weeks of praying for you cards that I made for a church in Fort Worth,  This was one of the weeks that I thought, okay what could I do this time?  Easiest is copy your own design!  So, that is exactly what I did!  So, somewhere in the past, you have seen a similar card from me.  But, it doesn't make today's cards any less nice.  It is really a great design.  Simple, but with interest.  Enjoy!

I think this is the week that I started thinking I had better make some that could be sent to men.  So, I think I made 3 each of the top two and 2 of the bottom one.  Sometimes when I am making multiples, the amount I make of each depends on how much paper I have so I am sure that is why a second feminine card got made.

See you tomorrow for the next set.
Happy Stamping!
