A Birthday Kit!

Hello!  It has been a while since I made a birthday kit to sell.  Not even sure if anyone is interested, but I decided I should make some samples to try.  Here is the deal a few months ago, I was asked to teach at a new local art studio that has classes.  I was asked to teach a card at a Mother's Day event and also, they requested I teach an explosion box.  I was excited for the new opportunity!  For the Mother's Day event, they were sure they were going to sell out and told me I needed to prep for 25.  I did that but they ended up having only 12 people come, so I will be using this as the BONUS for my birthday kit.  I mean why not, the card is wonderful and it is already prepped and ready!  I had told them I would be bringing my explosion box sample on the day of class to start promoting it.  I had also told them I was going to limit the class size to 15.  Even 15 boxes, I was ordering a lot of paper, like 100 sheets of designer paper and about 50 sheets of cardstock.  A little bit crazy, but I know from having a store, you have to make sure you have the product, so I really didn't feel I had a choice.  I loved the paper I picked, such pretty colors in a birthday theme. Also, the line of paper was Photoplay, which you might know is now out of business, which was another reason I went ahead and ordered what I would need.  Now, fast forward, a few weeks, and the owner reached out to say there was no interest in the explosion box and they were postponing it.  Well, I decided right then, I should cancel the class.  I knew I would probably have better luck selling birthday card kits instead.  So, that was the plan.  June was busy for me, figured they would be ready for the 1st of July.  I am just a few days late.  Usually when I make a card kit, all of the cards are different papers, but really it does not matter, as you are giving them to different people!  So, here are my samples for the birthday kit.  Enjoy!

First up, is using a set of dies that I got at the last stamp convention.  It folds flat for mailing.  I am really particular about having a place to write my message and I prefer it that I don't have to do this on the backside of anything. So, I added a pocket!  So cool!

And the pull out ...

Next, is a fun one.  You know how I like puns!  Because I used some different cardstock colors, it seems like it is from a different line, but same line.

Usually when I make cards, I am trying to not use too much DP for any one card, but this time I have a lot, so I went looking for a card that would actually use more paper!  Crazy!  This is called a Double Flap card.

You lift the top portion to see the next layer ...

And then, one more lift to where you will write your message ...

One of the designer papers was a yellow tone on tone print and I thought what image would be good with yellow paper ... how about bees?!  I have been wanting to make some bee cards.  What it made it perfect was I found in my stash a perfect embossing folder!

Remember that crazy card we made a few years back with all those presents?  It was a nightmare but in trying to figure out what card #5 should be, I found a perfect sentiment to match with up with those present dies, so I kept it pretty simple where you only have to create 3 gifts....

The bonus as I explained in the beginning of this post, will be a bonus kit.  If you got my card kits back in 2021, you already made this card.  But, different papers and different stamps.  This card is perfect for many occasions....

Kit details pretty much the same 2 of 5 card kits + the bonus kit for $36.  I hate to do it but I think I need to up the shipping $1 a kit.  I hope this is okay.

I really hope you like the cards and will want a kit (or 2, lol!) so I can get rid of all this paper I ordered!

Happy Stamping!
Tina
