Hello!  This is a continuation from yesterday's blog post, as I am showing you the second of two notecard sets and card pouches that I have made for the church bazaar.  For this one all four cards in the set, were exactly alike and here is the card ... enjoy!

I thought the card pouches were hard to make at first, but now that I have made about six of them, they are getting easier!  I still want to make at least 4 more.  I am thinking a Christmas one, even though I personally would probably not send notecards instead of regular cards at Christmastime, but some might.  So, I will show you those when I get them done.  The sentiment used on this one is from Verve.

Live in Thanksgiving Daily!

Hello!  A couple of days ago, I made two more notecard sets with two more pouches.  I am going to show you one set today and save one to show you tomorrow.  I bought this fall 6 x 6 pad from Echo Park called Fall Reflections thinking I would use it for one of my class cards, but then I changed directions and made a pumpkin instead.  I thought about exchanging it at the store but then I thought the colors would make for pretty notecards for the bazaar.  And they do!  My two sets ended up being different mainly because I only had one 12 x 12 of the gold cardstock for the pouch.  So, even though tomorrow's set uses the same papers, it is quite different.  Let me show you today's cards ... enjoy!

Coasters for Church Bazaar ... Done!

Hello!  I just want to share a quick post to show you the finished coasters that I made for the church bazaar.  Well, mostly made by myself.  I got a little help from a couple of the church ladies and then I passed them off this last weekend so they could finish adding the cork squares to the bottoms (that I punched out) and tie the ribbons around them (that I picked out from my stash)!  I still not crazy about how so many show wrinkles.  But, I figure it is bound to happen with such thin paper and glue!  Here is a picture so you can see all of them ... enjoy!

 

 

 

 

And here is a close-up of one ... they are much brighter with the Krylon on top!

 

Here is the back of one to show you how I did the cork on the bottom.  Originally, I was going to do solid 4 x 4 inch squares, but when we ended up making so many (15 sets of 4), I decided the squares would have to do. I think it works fine.  They no longer make a noise when you set them down.

Now, to Terry and any others that have had problems of yellowing when they added the Krylon, this is what I used ...

 

No, yellowing!  Woo Hoo!  It says right on the can ..."Permanent protective gloss finish, non-yellowing".  I am thinking maybe they have made the formula better.  One question, does anyone have any thoughts about what price we should put on the sets? 

I am working on some more note card sets.  I'll be back tomorrow or the next day to show you those.

Saturday's Sketch Share!

Hello!  Sorry I am late in posting today.  I headed off early to walk in one of the parades with the Blue Star Mothers.  Doing my part to remind everyone to support our troops.  It is just a feel good thing to do and it is fun!  Let's get to today's cards.  I will show you my card, Debbie's card and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

I have actually done this sketch before.  I like it.  I think the opposite rectangles adds interest and it is a larger panel for the main image.  The only issue is that you need a little room at the top for the sentiment panel.  Between my class teaching and my time spent on making things for the church bazaar, I already know I won't be sending Halloween cards out this year, so since I keep buying more Halloween stamps (like the one seen here), I figured I had better at least use them on the Saturday shares!  Debbie is right on target too!  Football!  Great for my hubby and her card, but not for me!  But, every time Gary has a game to watch, that is time for me and my crafts!  Yea!

Happy Cake Day!

Hello!  I have a birthday card I made last week for my stepdaughter to show you today.  She loves purple!  So ... purple it is!  Let me show you ... enjoy!

 

 

 

It came out pretty cute I think.  Funny how things look ... I am noticing that the ribbon looks black in the photo ... but it is really purple!  Yes, purple!  Cute, huh?

October Class Share!

Hello!  Wow, I have been busy.  I am so glad to have today to take a breather!  Last week, I taught, then this week I taught again!  And, I got my next class samples made in between!  This week's class was a private class with a group of ladies from a retirement community and was set up back in April or something.  But, why I thought it would be easy for me to do classes back to back weeks, is a mystery!  It was not so fun, but it is done now.  And the class went great yesterday.  Yea!  So, now I want to show you my next class samples.  I like to teach the last week of the month, but between happenings going on in Waxahachie, and the store, I had to move up my October class, which means in two weeks I will be teaching again!  Yikes!  The cards came out so cute it will be worth it!  Let me show you ...enjoy!



 

 

I love how all three came out.  The first one is made with Spellbinder Ovals!  My own creation!  I saw on Pinterest a pumpkin shaped card but they used a die cut.  Mine, nope!  But so simple!  The store got in the cutest penguin paper from Bella Blvd., so I just had to incorporate it into my card ...perfect on the stair steps on the second card.  The shake card part is my favorite though.  Do you recognize the layout sketch on the front of the third card?  It is one you have seen in the last month from one of the Saturday sketches.  See, I do use my sketches!

Come create three fun and unique cards, one for Thanksgiving and two for Christmas.  First up is a pumpkin shaped card made from 5 ovals and using IO's Leaf die, and one of Darcie's new sets.  Next, is a step card with a shaker card panel.  This uses the new Snowglobe die from IO, another cute set from Darcie's and the cutest penguin paper!  Lastly, we have another favorite honey comb card with the newest snowman set from Inky Antics.  Please bring adhesive to include an X by Xyron (if you have one), a glue stick, foam tape and pop-up dots, detailed scissors, and your preferred coloring medium.  All other supplies provided.
