Morning Madness May 2021

Hello!  May is always the month that I do cards "for the boys"!  This theme seems to be the hardest, especially since I don't want to use the same stamps and dies that I used the last couple of years.  I think I did pretty good.  But before I get to the cards, I must remind you that in the kit you will receive 2 each of 5 designs and one bonus card made by me ready for you to send. The cost is $35 ($30 + $5 shipping).  The shipping seems to inch up a little more every month, but so far it hasn't gone up higher than $5.  I hope it doesn't, because I really don't want you to have to pay more.  Enough complaining about postal rates (lol!), let's get to the cards ... enjoy!

My first card is a stamp that everyone that has been around my classes has seen me use before.  When I looked on this blog for ideas, I saw that I used him in 2010!  But he is so cute ... how could I resist using him again?!

Just like I did last month for Mother's Day, I will be stamping a Happy Birthday on the backside of the cards that are stamped Happy Father's Day, so you have a choice...

I love the tool box ideas when it comes to men's cards.  A couple of years ago I did a shaped card front like a tool box, but this year, we have a card in a box.  It is a little bit different sizing than the card in a boxes we typically do, as it is a very thin box to make it look like the real thing!  I even used real wire to hang the sign!  I went with the "dad" sentiment because it seemed to go so well with the box.  It doesn't have to be given to your dad, just someone who is a dad!

I added a panel on the backside so you can add your words.  Of course, it folds flat to add to your envelope!

Gotta love the cards that make you smile, like this one ...

Next, is a nice outdoorsy, fishing type card perfect for the occasion...

This next one could be given to a man, or I thought it would also be great for a boy or teenage boy.  Just like cards for men, these can be hard to come up with ideas for ... you will be ready with this one ...

Because I wasn't sure who the recipient would be for this one, I just went with the general inside sentiment and you can add in Happy.... whatever.

For my bonus card, I went with this fun bowling guy!  Love his expression!

I left the inside panel blank, since I will be making the card for you.

If you are not one that gets the kits on a regular basis, be sure to let me know that you want this month's kit!  You will need this set to have on hand for when you need them, or for Father's Day coming up.

Happy Stamping!

Morning Madness April 2021!

Hello!  I got my April samples done!  This month we have 2 cards that would be perfect for mom's on their special day or could also be pretty birthday cards, then, I have some of the other occasions covered for you like graduation, baby, and wedding!  The graduation card could also be a birthday card with a small adjustment if a grad card is not needed.  I can't wait to show you, but first, a reminder of what you get in the kit.  You get 2 each of 5 designs + a bonus card made by me. All of this for $35 ($30 + $5 shipping).  Kits will go out on the 1st but if you need to mail the cards for Mother's Day, I will help you by getting just these 4 to you by mailing them in a week.  You will have to send me an extra $3 though, as I can't really get around that shipping!  I wish the shipping was getting cheaper, instead of just going up, but can't fix it!)  Okay, now on to this month's cards ...

First, is what is called an Upright Z Fold.  I had pretty coordinating papers and I had a stamped image that was fairly large, so to showcase both, I found a fun fold!  It is super easy to make.

This is how it looks when it is fully opened.  The sentiment is for Mother's Day, but if you don't need that type of card, you can flip the panel over for a Happy Birthday sentiment I will have stamped for you on the reverse side.

It stands alone like an easel card...

This shows a side view...

Usually, you get one special fold card from me each month, but this month you get two!  I have been thinking about a flower pot card for a while.  I had not made one in about 8 years!  I think the last one I made, I had to put it in a larger size envelope.  This one is made to fit perfectly in an A2 size!  I love how it came out ...

It is a pocket card and the flower panel just pulls out.  Again, like the last card, a Happy Birthday will be stamped on the reverse side of white panel. (if you need it as an option).

I even decided to make the backside somewhat finished ...

The next card is for graduation, however if you don't add the hat or scroll, it could easily be for  another occasion.  On the reverse side of the panel, I think I have a birthday sentiment, something about older and wiser!  But, you know what, it could also be a great guy card!  I found that I have about 5 or 6 sets of owl stamps with varied sentiments, so if you need something different, I probably can help you out!  Lpl!

Now, to the one of the ones that probably can't be changed from what it is now ... a baby card!  It is very simple, but so adorable!

And the wedding card ... this one was fun because I got to combine two different stamp sets!

And last but not least, my bonus card!  Since this month, a couple of the cards are made with mothers in mine, I wanted to do a card in pinks, with roses to honor my mother, Dorothy!  She died at 97, 8 years ago, but I know if she was here, she would love this card!

I decided to leave the inside blank, because it would be perfect for so many occasions.  You can just write in what you need before you give it!

I hope you like this month's cards.  If you don't get my kits on a regular basis, make sure you let me know you want this month's kit.  And if you need me to send the Mother's Day cards quicker, I must know that!

Monthly Madness February 2021!

Hello!  I am a few days late getting my samples made.  I had about 5 days of non-creative mojo going on and have no idea why, but I have learned, that when this happens, it is best to not try to force it, just give it time.  Two days ago, it lifted and I went to creating and the results, are great!  At least, I think they are!  The theme for this month is Easter.  I know you are thinking isn't it too early?  Easter is April 4th, so it is early this year.  You will have plenty of time to get them made.  Just a reminder on what is in the card kits, you get 2 each of 5 different designs plus a bonus card made by me.  The cost is $35 ($30 + $5 shipping).  Let's take a look at the cards ... enjoy!

My favorite kind of card has stamps and paper that match!  Cute, cute ...

Next up, is a really sweet card.  To match the paper, I looked for the sweetest little bunny and this die cut one is perfect!

Every month, I try to give you one card that is a type of fun fold.  This month you have a really simple double z fold ...

And when opened, there is the "wow" ...

T

And then of course, we must have cards for what Easter is really about!  This first one has an interesting opening to the card, as only the middle section flips to open...

The inside is a flat card.  Creative ...

When I ordered papers for these Easter cards, I kinda forgot to order paper that would go with the religious cards, but I got this floral paper a while back, and it made for a perfect card ...

The bonus card is silly!  But oh, so cute ...

I  hope you like the cards.  If you are not one that gets a kit every month, please let me know right away so I can make sure you get one.  You do not want to miss out on this set!

It is some crazy cold, winter stuff going on here, so perfect time to cut paper!  LOL!

Monthly Madness January 2021!

Hello!  So excited to begin year 3 with making and selling my card kits!  I decided we should start the year off right with some birthday card kits!  Before I show my cards, I should remind you of the details.  Kits are $35 which is $30 + $5 shipping.  You get 2 each of 5 designs + a bonus card made by me, ready to send.  There is no obligation to do every month (but love if you would ...lol!) Always the same price!

Also, this month there is an opportunity to purchase an add-on set of card kits.  One of my ladies reached out to me to let me know she is in need of a couple of sympathy cards, so I decided to make the set an add-on so that you still get a whole set of birthday cards, which I know will be much needed too!  It will probably be at least two months, before sympathy cards will be a regular part of a kit, as next month will be Easter cards.

Let me show you the cards ...enjoy!

First up, is an inside tunnel shadow box card.  (That is a mouthful!)  I have to admit I had a little bit of technical difficulty figuring out how to make this card.  But don't worry, as I will be doing the hard part, which is the tunnel creation portion for you!   You see when I finished my sample, it was so cool.  I knew it needed to be in the kit.  Here is the front ...

And then when the card is open, you see the cool tunnel...

The second card has a bit of coloring, but so worth it ... great card for special female friends!

And the inside ,,,

This next one is adorable.  I absolutely love when the designer paper matches the stamps!

And the inside has a great puny sentiment ...
Next, is a fun, simple card with a cut away center...

The idea I saw only had the sentiment inside but it looked too plain, so I opted to add the matching designer paper strips at the top and bottom ...

I had picked up this designer paper with the presents.  Looking thru my stamps, I thought this stamp would be perfect!

Next, is my bonus card ...

Now, let me show you this month's add-on cards.  The set is $6, no added shipping.  The card is a dark brown base with brown dots on the DP (designer paper).  In the photo it appears to be black.  It is somewhat of a simpler design and that is because sympathy cards to me should be more simple.  Just my opinion.  Below I am showing you two designs.  Actually, they are the exact same design. You will have the option whether to add the flowers or not, so that if you need to have one for a man, you just leave them off.  Both kits will have the flowers included to give you a choice.

Let me know if you would like this month's kit and also if you want to get the add-on.  If so, your total will be $41.

Happy Stamping!
