Monthly Madness August 2019!

Hello!  Wow, I have been through some changes since my last post.  I posted my cards for July on the 13th and then on the 15th I slipped on some melted ice in my kitchen and fell.  Long story short ... I broke my femur and hip socket and so I had a partial hip replacement!  But, I did work on the July card kits as I started to recover and got them out to everyone by the 8th.  I guess about a week late.  Not too bad.  Then it was time to work on August samples.  I had a bit of some non creative mojo going on last week and I also had to wait on an order for some paper ... gotta have cute papers!  Back on track now.  Got my samples done last night!  And as for me, well, I am progressing.  But, I am not fully walking in strides yet without my walker.  But I hope to get there soon!  Even though it seems really late for August samples, it is okay, as the theme is Halloween and one for Fall, so I am EARLY!  LOL!  Before I show you the cards, I guess I had better give you once again the monthly kit details...

First is a box in a card.  This was a request and even though we have all made these before, it still fun to do again!  

The next photo shows the back side and the most adorable paper!  This paper is on the front too at the bottom - it shows in person, but not in the above photo.

And then this pull out is where you, would sign it.

Looking through my stash of cute Halloween, I have so many witch stamps ... but when I saw this cute paper, I knew the set I had to use!

This next one uses some new dies and stamps from Queen & Co.  Love!

I love that I can use stamps from my own stash.  The stamp on this next card had a date of 2010 on it but it makes me smile as much today in 2019 as it did then.  Cute! 

 Oh, and I have to mention ... blue cardstock is not a traditional Halloween color, but it worked!  

 I thought I should do one Fall card for you.  Next month, there will be more!

 I left the inside of this one blank because I was thinking it could be a Thanksgiving card but it also could be a thinking of you card!

 And last but not least, here you have my bonus card!
One mention here on a personal note. my mom is giggling from, heaven ... she loved riddles!  And it is appropriate since her birthday was in October and my parents eloped on Halloween.  For you mom...

There you have it.  I mostly likely will be going back to work at the beginning of September, so I will be working on this full time before that happens, so if you want a kit, please let me know as soon as you can!

 When I saw the pool paper, I thought of this stamp ... makes me laugh!

 This next card is mermazing ...lol!

 And for the bonus card, my girl is ready to travel to the beach to see foxes and mermaids!

Hello!  This month is all about those occasions that you don't need everyday but when you do, it is great to have a kit ready to put together just for the occasion.  So, for the June kit, we have a baby card, a wedding card, a retirement card, a new home card and a thinking of you card.  Before I get to the card samples I have to show you, let me remind you of the kt details.... First, the baby card.  For my sample, I colored with pinks, blues, yellow and green, which would be perfect if you don't know whether it is a boy or girl, but I also did one in just the pinks or just the blues and all came out adorable.  You can customize it for what is needed!

 Next, is the wedding card.  I kept it simple with pretty paper, a light bow, a cut out to the inside and a die cut couple.  

 This show the inside of the card.  You do not see the "congratulations" until the card is opened.

Next is the retirement card.  I went with pretty hot air balloon paper and stamps!  And this one could be for a female or male which is nice.  My friend thought it would be great for vacation or new job.  (I think she is right about the new job, believe me it is an adventure! LOL!)

 And then my favorite ... the new home card.  It is a center easel card.  The house has die cut door and windows which actually pop up a little.  First photo shows how it looks coming out of the envelope. 

 And then ... standing up with easel.

Next, is the thinking of you card.... 

I left the inside blank because I thought it would be perfect for a hand written note (yes people still do this, lol!)  Or it really could be for other occasions like birthday or maybe even sympathy.

For some reason, the papers I ended up working with were all in kinda of a muted color theme, so to brighten things up, this is my bonus card.  Cutesy, my fave! 

Let me know as soon as possible if you want a kit, I don't want anyone to be left out.  I know I was late getting the samples to you.  So, I will start cutting tonight!

Life update: my temp job (accounting at a Ford dealership) turned into a real job but they added duties of an evening and Saturday receptionist.  So, I have been trying to adjust to the new hours.  For example, I don't get home until almost 8 during the week and on Saturday, it is a 10 hour day.  So, this has affected my creative mojo, but I think I am getting back on track now!  If only my card kit venture could grow and I could make kits full time and not have to work too ... a girl can dream!  Until then, I am grateful for a job to pay the bills and the support of all of you to allow me to do what makes my soul happy!

Now, to the cards ... each of the cards on the inside are left blank, but I will be adding to the kits stamped sentiments that you can add inside, like Happy Father's Day, Happy Birthday, Thank you, etc.  And if there is a sentiment that you need, ask and I probably have a stamp of it and I can add it for you.

Next, we have a classic car for all the car buffs ...

This is the inside.  (All the insides for the rest of the cards will be like this except in the correct colors).  Ready to add a perfect sentiment!

I love Mr. Chef guy!  He just makes me smile!

How about the outdoors? 
One note about this card, probably one of my favorite cards I have every made, was a Halloween one made very similar to this with a vertical striped panel, the same wonky rectangle dies, and a scene.  Of course, it was a haunted house theme before.  It was 5 years ago, so I figured it was time for a do over! 

Most all men love to fish, so this one will be great for them ...

The stamp used on this card is a lot bigger but would take up most of the card (a whole boat with another guy in it), but I wanted to show off the fishing paper, so I got creative.  Love!

And last but not least, the bonus card.  This one is simple.  But I had this great paper and I had to use it!  A couple of months ago, when I did the get well/sympathy kits, I went feminine on the sympathy cards and I had wished I had done one in masculine colors.  So, I might be changing out the front sentiment to a sympathy one.  Better add a couple to the kits, in case someone else needs a masculine sympathy card too!

This first card, would be perfect for a child or ME (aka someone like me who is young at heart!) This hippo just makes me smile!

 Next, is another fun one that also would be perfect for any age.

 Every month, I always do some kind of special fun fold, pull card, pop up, something.  This month I used the Lawn Fawn Pop Up Pivot die to create the pop up on the inside.  I have taught a how to on this from scratch, but this die definitely makes it easy ...

Next, is one that is definitely for a female. The sentiment I used on the front was one my mom loved, so a little tribute to my mom in heaven.

 The last card is more for a man, but girls like trucks too!

 And here is my bonus card ... does it make you giggle?

I have a lot of stamps to choose from in the birthday category, but it was fun to use some of my favorites, and some that you might haven't seen recently.  I think it is a good set of birthday cards.  I hope you like them.  I have on my FB page, the 15th as the day that I need to know if you want a kit.  But, I am sure I will start cutting before that, so let me know when you can.  For the last two months, I have had a full time temp job, so I pretty much spend most of the time I am not working, or sleeping, working on your kits.  But I love it.  I have a plaque in my room, that says "Take time to do what makes your soul happy!"  So true.  Need the job to pay the bills, but my heart and soul is stamping!
