Saturday Sketch Share!

Hello! I am back today with the share between Debbie and I.  I am also working on a post of my favorite sketches from 2014.  I should have that one finished by this evening, so be sure to check back in.  But first, let's get to today's share.  I will show you my card, Debbie's card, and the sketch we both used.  Plus, I have one more card with the same share, as I needed a sympathy card for a neighbor, so I will show you that one at the end.  Enjoy!

You would think since I made an additional card that I really like this sketch, but truthfully, I don't.  This time Debbie and I disagree, as she said liked the sketch.  I do think it helped to add the small flower element, as without it, it is too plain.  Now, since my additional one was a sympathy card and I tend to think they should be more plain, it kinda works.  What do you think?  Like it or not?

Sharing of Handmade Cards!

Happy New Year!  I hope 2015 is  happy, healthy and joyous for you! 

I expected to be back yesterday, but I started working on my next class sample and time just slipped away.  I have quite a bit of shares before the beginning of next week for you including today's sharing, my favorites for 2014, Saturday's share, and hopefully my class share.  Monday I have a surprise give-away.  That's all you are gonna get about that right now.  Today I am sharing the holiday cards I received from friends.  Now, I didn't really get their permission to put them on my blog, but knowing me, they probably expect it.  And they are all so awesome, why would they care?  (at least I hope so!)

Hello!  I have a cute card to share that I made for my niece who recently go engaged.  Enjoy!



 

 

 

How silly is that?  Just a couple of monkeys arm in arm, in love! If you look close, you can see I added a rhinestone on her ring finger!  Hope my card gave them a little giggle!

Calendar Swap Page!

Hello!  Late last year I got asked to participate in a calendar swap when one of the participants opted out, so I did it.  Then, several months ago, I was asked again.  I said okay, but not thinking that I would have to have my page done right in the middle of making Christmas cards, prepping and teaching my class.  Oh wow, was I worried that I wouldn't get the 13 done in time, but I did.  I got a choice of which month I wanted and from the months that were untaken, I decided on May.  I knew I could do something with flowers or something for birthdays, as both my hubby and my birthday is in May.  Since it was my "month", I decided to go with colors I like, a favorite stamp, and flowers!   Enjoy!

 

 

 

Last week I got an email that I had made a mistake on my page ... you saw it right off, didn't you?  I bet you did!  And when it was pointed out, I felt like one big dummy!  So, I retyped the month with the correct year and cut them out, and ran them thru the xyron and sent them off so that my mistake could be fixed!  Yea!  Other than that, I love how my page turned out!  The white bunny (The Cat's Pajamas) made it simple to color, but yet it is whimsical and colorful.
