Happy Thanksgiving!

Have you been wondering where my Thanksgiving card pics are? The cards got finished over a week ago but I don't like to post the pics until they are in the mail. So, they got sent out last Saturday, yet I still didn't think about putting them on my blog. I need to get better about that! I made about 20 cards dividing between two prototypes. But I also did a different one for my mom and one for my hubby. Here they are ...

The pumpkin stamp is from Northwoods. Both cards were colored with prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The images I used for both cards required a lot of coloring which I don't always like to do because I have trouble figuring out what colors to use but with pumpkins and leaves, it was a no-brainer! Below is the inside of the first card.

This second card was a challenge for me. I had a similar idea in my head but when I went to do the placement on the A-2 card size which I do 90% of the time, it just didn't work. The stamp, which is from DeNami designs was too large to show off much of the scrapbook paper which I had in mind to use here. So, I went thru envelopes and found I had enough that I could make a 5 x 7 size card instead, so this is the result. The punch I used is from Fiskars and one I have had for a number of years. And one I don't think I have ever used. But when I made the prototype I fell in love with it for this card. More challenges occured when on the second card I made I broke the puncher tab and I had to go buy another one at Michaels! And then the dots on each scallop are those dot sparkler stickers from Stampendous. I ran short, so I had to ask for help. Fortunately, a friend (ex-customer) came to my rescue and I was able to cover every scallop with a beautiful orange dot!

When I ran out of the dark orange paper, I decided it was fine and I would make a more simpler version for my mom. She loves pinks so I picked out this peach paper which is closer to that color scheme. I gave it to her today and she loved it!
And last but not least, this is the card I made for my hubby. I hope he likes it, I will give it to him tommorrow! I think it came out really cute. I wish I would have made more of this one to send. But I had already cut all the cardstock and scrapbook paper pieces when I came up with the card. There is always next year!
Gary's children and granchildren are coming for the big Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday. I am cooking all of it ...wish me luck! Just think, on the day that Thanksgiving is just a memory to you is the day that we will be having ours! Have a wonderful holiday with family and friends!

Happy Stamping!
Tina
