Where Flowers Bloom, So Does Hope!

Hello!  Tonight's post is the last card to catch up for the cards that I have made but haven't shared!  Yipee!  This one is pretty but quite simple ... enjoy!

I cased this one from a card I saw on pinterest.  What do you think?

I will see you on Saturday for the share!

Bride and Groom!

Hello!  All week, I have been doing catch up on cards that I have made but that I haven't shown you here on my blog.  Today's card is one I made for an order from my friend at church for a wedding card she needed.  Funny thing is that after making this card back in April, I used the idea but fancied it up and taught it in my May class. I am also reposting the class card so you can see the fancied version!  Enjoy!

You can see that the class card (shown last) is very similar but I added the bouquet which give the card a lot of color and also the buttons for the man which also adds some interest.  Either way, it really is a great idea for a wedding card!

I have one more on my catching up and I will have that for you later today!
Happy Stamping!

Birthdays Rock and So Do You!

Hello!  I am back with another card to show you.  I have doing posts twice a day to try to catch up on cards I made but haven't shown you.  Today's card was made for my hubby's birthday back in May.  Enjoy!

This card is perfect for him as he has a music collection, LPs from floor to ceiling on every wall in his room!  Really simple card, but fun, right?

See you tomorrow for two more catching up cards!

Happy Graduation!

Hello!  I am still playing catch up with cards that I have made but not shared.  This card is one I made for a friend at church that needed a grad card for her granddaughter who was getting her masters.  I found a piece of paper at the scrapbook store that totally made this card.  Enjoy!

Above I am also showing you the inside which I did on the computer.  Love the sentiment!  For the card, the hat was made with a black square, a homemade tassel, and dies from Impression Obsession.  Perfect!

I will see you this evening with another card!

You're Dog-Gone Awesome!

Hello!  This is my second post today as I am doing a little catching up with card creations I have made but haven't shared here.  Today's card was made for my hubby for Father's Day from the "girls", the Chihuahua's!  I know it is silly, but it works, right?  Enjoy!

It's a hoot, for sure!  On the inside I put "To Us"!  The other funny thing is that on the back of the card where I would sign my name and date it, I put "hired by CoCo and Foxy, made by Tina"!  Ha, Ha!  With those names, can you see why the images are colored the way they are?

See you tomorrow as I continue this catching up!

Beautiful You!

Hello!  I am back with two more posts today with cards you have not seen.  The card this morning is one I made for a lady at church that was turning 99!  She is a painter and so I really wanted to do something that looks artistic.  At the scrapbook show, the week before, I had bought this stamps set by Altenew that I had been wanting for a while and I knew this would be the perfect set to use for her card, because it looks like the flowers are painted.  Enjoy!

I do have to say, it was a little complicated to figure out how to layer the images.  I had a chart from pinterest but even with it, I still had to use my "thinker"!  The results?  Great!  I used the Spellbinders die to finish it off.  I love it, what do you think? FYI, this set from Altenew is called Painted Flowers.

I will be back this evening with another card creation for my "catching up"!

Happy 60th!

Hello!  If you follow me on Facebook, you might have already seen the cards, as my friend put them on her wall and tagged me.

I realized I have a bunch of cards that I have made in the last couple of months that I haven't put on my blog for you to see.  That is not acceptable and so this week, you are gonna see two posts a day from me so I can do a little catch-up!  I didn't know which to show you first, so I decided to go in the order they were made.  So, first up are two cards I made for friends, a husband and wife, both turning 60!   Enjoy!

Both stamp images are from Art Impressions and the man with the cake actually has a woman on the stamp too, but I did a little masking to cut her off.  I could have done a joint card, but I really wanted to do one card for each of them.  I am not sure you makes the sentiments I used, as they were from my stash and they were unmounted.  So perfect though, aren't they?

See you tomorrow, in the morning and the evening for more catch-up card creations!
Happy Stamping!

Saturday's Sketch Share (On Monday!)

Hello!  Sorry about being late with the share for last week.  Between being my teaching week and me going off to Fort Worth to go to some friend's 60th birthday party, I totally forgot!  And then yesterday, I never thought of it.  Oh, well ... better late than never!  This is my motto for the week because I have a bunch of cards that I haven't shown you and I am going to be doing a little catch up.  First, let's do the share!  The sketch is one of the ones that is tall and skinny.  I will show you my card, Debbie's card and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

The Sketch
At first glance, I thought, oh my goodness, there is a lot going on and was worried how it would come out knowing the card is only 3 1/2" across.  But, I have to say, when they are done, not bad! They really don't look that busy.  I think I kinda like this one.  But you do have to make sure that the main image in the square is small or it will not fit!  (I think Debbie had this trouble!)

I will be back late today with another card creation to do my "catch-up"!

Saturday's Sketch Share!

Hello!  I am back today with another share between Debbie and I.  This week's sketch is SO SIMPLE, and even though I am not always a fan of the clean and simple look, I kinda like this one.  Let me show you our cards to see what you think.  Enjoy!

The stamps I used are OLD, as from when I had my store!  Yea, I used something out of my stash!  I guess I did it so I could say, "I use what I have"! Well, that might be so, but I still want and buy more ... yesterday at the convention and today online!  Yikes!  But FUN!

Hope you like today's cards.  Summer Fun at it's best!
I have a couple of cards to make today, so I had better get to that, as this is my teaching week and therefore lots to get done on that!  See you soon!

Uncle Sam says God Bless America!

Hello!  Today is my monthly design team post for The Crafty Scrapper's blog.  Here is what they saw ... Scroll to the bottom of the post for a couple of notations from me.

Hello, Tina here with another creative card for you.

In my last class, one of the cards was a triple fold card.  I thought it would be fun to show you how easy that card is to make, this time using the new Patriotic line from Photoplay.

I also made a fun Uncle Sam embellishment to add to the belly band of the card.

To create the card, you will need cardstock cut at 12" x 5 1/2".  Score at 2", 4, 7" and 9".
Decorate the panels.  The belly band measures 8 1/2" x 1 1/4" and is scored at 2" and 6 1/8".

Uncle Sam is super easy to make too!  His hat is white cardstock 1 3/8" square with two red cardstock strips of  5/16", and a dark blue horizontal piece.  I added a blue star.  I used a die, but a punch could work too.  I also used dies for both the circle and the scallop circle to create the face.  I did use a small circle punch for the nose.  The eyes and mouth are drawn with a pen.

Easy Peasy!

Be sure to check out my card when you are at our favorite scrapbook store!

Happy Stamping!
Tina

Notations from me:  I wanted to give you the link to "Uncle Sam".   I opted not to do this on The Crafty Scrapper's blog as the blogger is a Stampin' Up demonstrator and I know from owning a stamp store, it is best not to promote the home parties, even though it is a reality.  Also, you might have noticed in my description of the hat, I left out saying that the horizontal piece on the hat is the Stampin' Up word punch,. again same reasoning!  Of course, now that I don't have a store anymore, I am so happy that Stampin' Up is still around, as I get more ideas from their blogs!

Today, I am off to the scrapbook convention.  I have been in a bit of a non creative slump recently, so I am hoping that I will get some good ideas and that will get me back on the creativity train!  However, I like my card today, so maybe I am already on my way!

I will see you tomorrow for the weekly sketch share!

17 and Fabulous!

Hello!  Today's card is one I made for our granddaughter who turned 17 this week!  I love how this one came out ... enjoy!

The stamp set is an older one from my stash by My Favorite Things.  I used an Impression Obsession sets of dies to create the "17".  My granddaughter has beautiful long red hair, so instead of the typical brown I color most images, I had to google which copics to use to make her hair red.  I guess I did good, because my granddaughter commented on it!  Hope you like this card.

I will be back tomorrow with my design team post for the store.

Saturday's Sketch Share!

Hello!  I am back today with a sketch share between Debbie and I.  Let's get right to it.  I will show you my card, Debbie's card, and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

My Card

Debbie's Card

The Sketch
This sketch is a great horizontal one, even though having the square on the card in a diagonal position makes you think a little about what image might fit. Or you can do what I did, add an image that is too big for the diagonal square!  I did leave off the "flower" element and just added three rhinestones here.  I have some small nautical dies but they took away from the main image, so I opted for the bling.

Have a great weekend!

June Class Share!

Hello!  I have my next class samples ready to show you.  I frequently get asked about doing cards for men so that is what I decided to do for this class.  Now, I did realized that my class falls after Father's Day, but I decided why would that matter because don't men need cards at other times too?  Truthfully,  I had a little trouble deciding on what to make.  The first card came out better than I could have imagined but then the next one, I really wasn't sure I liked it, so I went on to another and liked this a little better than the last.  But then looking around on pinterest, I saw a birthday card idea with a fancy fold we hadn't done in a while, and decided to give it a go.  I loved how this one came out.  This last one takes a lot more paper so I knew I would have to eliminate one of the cards that I wasn't sure about.  Got some friends opinions and went with it!  So, here is the class ... enjoy!

My favorite is this side stair step card in the shape of a tool chest!  And with a cheesy sentiment .... love!

And the inside ...

Here is a side view ...

Card #2 is the one that got votes from 2 friends.  It is an easel card, but with a twist!
Here is the way it looks closed ...

And this is with the middle portion (the easel) up ...

And lastly, a birthday candle cascade card ...

That last one is the view from the backside where you can write your message.  I do want to note here that for the last one, the photos do not do justice, it is tall and will be a wow for the recipient!  Do you love all three?  If so, and are are interested in the class or a kit, you can call the store at 972-923-3151.  Here is the scoop ...

Guy Greetings!  Wed. June 22nd 11:00 a.m. and Sat. June 25th 2:30 p.m. $28
Yes, this class takes place after Father's Day, but who doesn't need birthday or all occasion cards year round?  Also, a couple of the cards aren't just for men.  The first card is a stair step card made to look like a tool chest.  I love this one.  Then, for the golfers in your life, we have a simple but fun easel card.  And lastly, we have a birthday cascade card.  Looks hard, but so simple.  Please bring adhesive to include pop-ups, detailed scissors, pencil, and a ruler.  All other supplies provided.
See you soon!

Saturday's Sketch Share!

Hello!  Look, I am on time!  Gotta be on time for something since I am not on time in getting my next class samples done, but I am almost there!  Look for them in a few days.  I am out of pocket today but will get back to creating tomorrow!  Let's get to todays cards.  I will show you mine, Debbie's, and the sketch we both used.  Enjoy!

My Card

Debbie's Card

The Sketch
I like how both cards came out, but this sketch ... hmmm.... not sure.  The main problem is that a main image gets cut off with the strip going right through it, even though Debbie had a good solution.  What are your thoughts?

See you soon!
