Hello! I am back as promised. I made two of the cutest cards out in my shack yesterday! I will show you one today, and one I will save for tomorrow. They actually both use the same stamp but are two totally different layouts with different papers. And, as we know, changing the layouts and the papers can give totally different looks! The stamp itself is one that I loved as soon as I saw it, but I usually try to make my stamp purchases in mind of who I might send it to. So, I almost didn't buy this one! You see, it is one of the A La Modes from My Favorite Things of a Tennis girl and I don't know anyone who plays tennis. But, in the end, I couldn't resist and I got it! I am so glad I did, it is adorable and the sentiments with the set are wonderful! Let me show you my card and then I will give you more details. Enjoy!
I had to show you the inside because it finishes the sentiment on the front of the card. It is "Love is nothing in tennis, but in life it's everything"! Wonderful! I do want to say that I totally "cased" this card, right down to the line of papers, so giving credit where credit is due, you can see Michele Boyer's card here. Mine is a little different but it's pretty darn close. Thanks Michele for your inspiration! I do want to note also that the scallop under the bottom panel on the front of the card is one side of the Die-Namics Scallop Ribbon Border. I wanted some little loops and using just the one side gave me perfect little loops!
Recipe:
Paper - My Minds Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky 6 x 6 pad, Cardstock White, Purple
Stamps - My Favorite Things A La Modes I've Met My Match
(note here that I the sentiment was together in two straight lines and I cut it apart so I could make it work with my card and that is what is great about clear stamps!)
Ink - Versafine Black, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol
Tools - Classic Circle, Classic Scalloped Circle Nestibilities, My Favorite Things Die-Namics Scallop Ribbon Border
Other - Button, Twine by The Twinery, Felt Ric Rac by My Minds Eye trims, Pearls by Queen & Co.
See you tomorrow!
Happy Stamping!
Tina
