Season the Day!

Hello! One of the cutest cards I saw at the scrapbook convention back in June was in the Inky Antics booth where they made a shaker card out of one of their images. I bought the set and have been thinking about it ever since! This week's sketch by Jen, I decided would work perfect for my little image and so my shaker creation was born! I will show you my card first and then Jen's sketch. Enjoy!

I love how it came out! The only thing is, I wish I would have put a few less beads inside because I think it would have appeared to shake more but oh well, I decided to go with it, as it would have been too much trouble to take it apart to change it. I also had a little trouble trying to decide what to put in place of the heart on the sketch. I tried flowers, I tried hearts cut from cardstock but all seem to take away from the main image which was a problem. In the end, I just cut the aqua piece into a "v". I often see on blogs where they change up the sketch to fit their needs. And this is such a small change, I think it will be fine! I would love to hear your thoughts about my little "shakin" card!

Recipe:

Paper - American Crafts Cobbler Cove and Blossom Road, Cardstock White, Yellow, Red, Aqua Stamps - Inky Antics Prepping Chefs Clear Set
Ink- Versafine Black, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol
Die Cuts - Classic Circle Nestiblities
Other - Buttons, Foam Tape and Acetate (to create shaker)

Hope your weekend is great! Look for me on Tuesday, for Texas Tues-Step (if not before)!
Happy Stamping!
Tina

Super cute. I think your v-notch is a perfect take on the sketch.
