Texas Tues-Step Cowgirl!

Howdy! That is my greeting to you since today is the 3rd Tuesday of the month, which means it is time for me to show you another Texas card! For this week's card, I decided to go with a western motif. What comes to mind is the fact that non -Texans used to think that everyone who lives in Texas owns and rides horses. I believe that they now know the truth, but still it is kinda funny to think that anyone ever thought that. After all, I grew up in the city and have only been on a horse a few times and those times were at national parks, not in Texas! About a month ago, we went to the local rodeo! The only rodeos I had ever been to were large ones in a big city. This was a different experience for sure! The small town rodeo reminded me that horses and Texas can go together! Hence today's card... enjoy!

I couldn't resist adding the comical sentiment for my cowgirl. Too funny! I love using twine on my cards and it was fun to go "crazy" with the twine on my card to add to the western motif. Be sure to check out all the posts from the Texas Tues-Step team. You can find their links on the right side of my blog.

Recipe:

Paper - October Afternoon-South Forty (one 12 x12 opposite sides), Cardstock White, Brown, Teal
Stamps - Cowgirl and Sentiment by Deadbeat Designs
Ink - Versafine Vintage Sepia, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol
Die Cuts/Punches - Labels 10, Labels 4, Labels 13 Nestiblites, EK Success Daisy Scallop Border Punch

Before I go, I wanted to tell you about this last weekend. I went to the stamp convention. The convention was extremely small with less than 20 vendors. So, needless to say, the convention itself wasn't all that exciting, but... what was awesome was to see so many people that used to be my customers when I had my stamp store. I closed a year ago but it seems I am still missed. I had such a great time visiting with everyone and it was so good to see them!

I hope to be back tomorrow with another creation.
Happy Stamping!
Tina
