DeNami Christmas Blog Hop

DeNami November Blog Hop

Hello!  I had so much fun participating in DeNami's last blog hop, I am doing it again!  Welcome to all the "hoppers"!  If you came from Beverly Montez's blog, you are on the right track!  If you want to start from the beginning or if you get lost along the way, click on the Blog Hop badge above and it will take you back to home base.  Now, let me get to my cards!  Yes, I have two!  Here is the first one ... enjoy!
Every year, for one of my Christmas cards, I like to do a card with a winter scene and this stamp with Mimi snow skiing is perfect!  When I stamped her in brown, the snowflakes and the snow on the ground came out in brown also.  So, I went over these with a white gel pen and then added glitter with a quicky glue pen on top of that.  Remember, holiday cards don't always have to be in traditional colors, especially if they are winter scenes!

Recipe:
Paper - Stripe Unknown, Turquoise is a Sparkle Paper by TPC Studio, Cardstock White, Pink, Mint Green
Stamps - DeNami
Ink - Versafine Vintage Sepia, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol
Tools - Classic Scalloped Circle, Classic Circle, & Create a Flake 1 Nestibiities, EK Success Corner Punch, Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch
Other - Ranger White Gel Pen, Quicky Glue Pen, Art Institute Crystal Glitter, Glitter Baubles from Hobby Lobby

Now, my next card will show you how one stamp has many possibilities.  For this holiday card, I used Mimi with Birthday Cake.  Yes, you read correctly!  It is this stamp ...

And this is the result ... here is my holiday card ...

Don't you love how it came out?  I know I was supposed to be using Christmas stamps, but I had this idea, and couldn't resist showing it to you!    You should have seen me jumping for joy when I found this perfect scrapbook paper with all sizes of presents on it, including a small one of a perfect size for Mimi to hold!  My other favorite detail on the card, is how I made the ribbon appear to be on top of a present.  I think I will be making more of these to send!

Recipe:Paper - Paper with presents by Little Yellow Bicycle called All Wrapped Up, Merry Christmas background paper by The Paper Studio, Cardstock White, Blue
Stamps - DeNami
Ink - Versafine Black, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol
Tools - Martha Stewart Border Punch, McGill tag punch
Other - Ribbon Unknown, Red Pearls by Queen & Co.

Don't forget there are gift certificates that YOU can win!  All you have to do is leave comments on the blogs along the way and your name might be randomly drawn!  How easy and fun is that?  You have until Monday night at 11:59 PST to leave comments on each of the blogs.

Now let's get you on your way.  You next stop is Tammy Hobbs.  Thanks for visiting.  I hope you like what you saw and will come back to visit soon!

This coming Tuesday look for another Texas creation.  See you then!
Happy Stamping!
Tina

The pink and turquoise colors on the snow scene really come through with the stripes and snowflakes. Thanks for describing each step so well.

Love the pastel colors on the first card. The dp is great too. I love how you found a way to use the Mimi stamp as a holiday stamp. Great job!

Paulina's question for today was, "What are your favorite colors to use in XMas cards?" My immediate thought was, "Tourquoise and neon pink!" So I am very happy to see the wonderful skiing Mimi in these beautiful colors you chose! I love this card and the idea of more of a wintery theme versus a holiday theme.
