Our Texas!

Hello!  Welcome to another Texas Tues - Step card.  For today's Texas creation, I used one of my favorite sketches and layered a couple of stamps to create my rectangle shape.  I knew I wanted to add either a punched out or stamped Texas shape as an accent piece, but I went around and around with trying to find just the right look.  I ended up with a stamped Texas shape with a stamped Texas word on the inside.  I like the way it came out.  Let me show you ... enjoy!

Recipe:

Paper - Plaid is from October Afternoon, Teal Print and Ochre Stripe from Stampin' Up Retired, Cardstock Teal, Natural White
Stamps - All Deadbeat Designs
Ink - Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress Ink, Tombow Markers
Tools - Labels 8 Nestibilities
Other - Pearls by Queen & Co.

On past Texas Tuesdays, you might have noticed that not all the team has been getting their cards made. So, be sure to go to my right side of my blog to see the updated list of  the Texas Tues- Step team members who have committed to bringing you their Texas creations every first and third Tuesdays. And don't forget to leave comments here and on their blogs. We always love to hear what you think!

I am going to be taking the next couple of days off.  You know all the inventory I had left after I closed my store last year?  I am finally going to attempt to sell some of it this weekend at the local flea market, so I will be busy getting ready for that  If anyone out there, is interested in a road trip to get some stamp bargains, let me know and I will get you the directions!

Happy Stamping!
Tina
