DeNami Simply Scallops Blog Hop!

DeNami January Blog Hop
Hello!  Today I am so excited to be participating in another DeNami blog hop.  As you can see, scallops is the theme.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!  So fun!  I want to say welcome to all the "hoppers"!  If you came from the blog of Ruza Rebel, you are on the right track!  If you want to start from the beginning or if you get lost along the way, click on the Blog Hop Badge above and it will take you back to home base.  Now, let's get to my card.  Last year at this time, I purchased Mimi in the Rain, and the card I made, I just wasn't crazy about.  So, I knew I wanted to use this stamp again and change all that!  Plus, her umbrella has upside down scallops, which is a perfect start!  I continued with the scallop theme in the papers I used, and the border punch elements.  Go scallops!  I love my card and I hope you do too!  Here it is ... enjoy!

Recipe:
Paper - Clouds and circles by My Minds Eye Love Me Do line, Scallops by Colorbok (from patterned paper pack I got at Target), Cardstock White, Teal
Stamps - DeNami Design
Ink - Versafine Black, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, YR000 Copic for facial
Tools - Stampin' Up Scalloped border punch
Other - Rhinestones from Hero Arts, Tiny turquoise sparkler stickers from Stampendous

Don't forget there are gift certificates that YOU can win! All you have to do is leave comments on the blogs along the way and your name might be randomly drawn! How easy and fun is that? You have until Monday night at 11:59 PST to leave your comments on each of the blogs to get in on the prizes.  Now let's get you on your way. Your next stop is Virginia Larsen.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you like what you saw and will come back to visit soon!

Happy Stamping!
Tina

Nice card. I like how you used the larger scallops like a patterned paper and to edge the pieces with the smaller scallops.

OH! Great minds think alike! I used that same Mimi stamp for my card! I love that cloud background, and your muted colors are gorgeous! That's my favorite thing about card-making. You can give people the same stamps, but they'll come up with such amazingly different finished products! Beautiful work!
