Happy Fall to One 'n All!

Today is October 1st so I have decided I should switch gears and start giving you Fall, Thanksgiving, and Halloween creations!  You see in past years, when I didn't have a blog, I would come up with one card idea for Halloween and one card idea for Thanksgiving and I would make as many cards as needed of each.  But, since I now have this blog that I make cards for four to five times a week, I figure I can use those cards for the two holidays.  Now, it is true I might have to make more than one card each especially for Halloween since it is only a few weeks away. But at least I won't be having to make 20 of one...yea!   I do have to say, I might have to throw in a few non fall cards.  Like for the Texas Tues-Step cards or for a birthday card I might make for someone, but other than that I will do my best to give you lots of fall ideas!  Are you worried, that you won't see any more flowers?  Well, you might see some fall flowers!  Now, let me show you my first fall card.  Enjoy!

Don't you love the fall leaves surrounding the sentiment?  I used  a set from Rubber Stamp Tapestry to create this.  I have a bunch of their sets but I don't always think to use them.  But today, this set is the first that came to mind!  If you are not familiar with this company, their stamps are on wood mounted pegs and are sold in coordinating sets.  So easy and fun to use. If you want to check them out, here is their blog.

Looking at the card now, I kinda wish I would have added some kind of baubles to the right hand corner of the sentiment panel.  Oh well!   It is pretty either way!  It will definitely be one to send!  What do you think?

Recipe:

Paper - Cardstock White, Ochre, Wine, Green (No DP ... can you believe it?)
Stamps - Rubber Stamp Tapestry Indian Summer set of 5, Sentiment by DRS Designs
Ink - Sentiment - Versafine Black, Leaves - Marvy Matchables #72 Pine Green, #96 Jungle Green, #13 Ochre, #64 Plumm #135 Dark Walnut, #43 Brilliant Yellow
Tools - Stampin' Up Square Lattice embossing folder, Marvy Corner Rounder Punch
Other - Ribbon by Unknown, Button (notice how I put small strip of wine cardstock thru holes in button)

Have a great weekend!   I should be back on Monday to give you more card ideas!
Happy Stamping!

You need to get a thermometer and take your temperature. You must be sick because I didn't think you could make a card without baubles or bling!
