Hello! I bet you have been wondering about me. The last two days, bad thunderstorms have been rolling through our area. Which has put a damper in my creating time, because I didn't want to be outside in my "shack", which is a metal building, if a tornado was coming. I had a vision of an "Antie Em, Wizard of Oz" moment! It seems the tornado sightings ended up being a little north of here and mostly we just got alot of very hard rain. But, today we have sun and I have a card to show you! Woo Hoo! I knew I had not done Jen's sketch challenge for the month and that I had better get to it! You only get entered into the drawing if you do all 12 months sketches and I would be very mad at myself if I skipped month 4! Her sketch this month is a square card, but I decided to change it into an A-2 card which is much easier for me to work with. I love my card. Let's get to it. I will show you my card and then the sketch. Enjoy!
As you can see, other than changing the size of the card, it follows the sketch very closely. I did go with one of the Spellbinders label dies for the square panel to add some interest. I absolutely love how it turned out, don't you?
Recipe:
Paper - My Minds Eye Stella & Rose - Gertie 6 x 6 pad, Cardstock Yellow, Teal, White
Stamps - My Favorite Things You're So Tweet
Ink - Versafine Black, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol
Tools - Labels 16 Nestibilities (Tina Tip: To get second layer of same shape, I traced around the die onto the teal and cut it out with my scissors)
Other - Round Teal Dots by Unknown (a find in Jo Ann's bargain bin, I think)
I made another card in the last couple of days, but you will have to wait until Saturday for the card share to see that one. I used some stamps I just got from The Cat's Pajamas ... yes, that is a teaser! I also want to complete April's VivalaVerve challenge but that would mean I would have to get all three cards made today, as their deadline is tomorrow! We'll see! I'll be back tomorrow with one or three. Tune in then!
Happy Stamping!
Tina
