Hello! I am back today with another Halloween card, this one with a little Halloween humor. The two sets of Halloween stamps from Rubbernecker that I got at the last convention, had the funniest sentiment stamps included. In fact, that is pretty much what sold me on the sets. So, let me show you my silly card ... enjoy!
Can you see the sentiment ... "Everything was fine til that house fell on my sister." ? Oh my ... that just makes me laugh. I had a few different house stamps but I didn't like how they looked with the feet and the other problem was they really were not the right proportion. So, I decided I would just create "the look" of a house with some cardstock. But then, there was all this white space open and that is when I decided to start adding embellishments. Even after I thought it was all done, I decided it need one more thing ... the glittered bat! I will have to figure out who should get the card for Halloween, as it will definitely need to be someone with a sense of humor. What do you think of my card?
Recipe:
Paper - Stripes from Recollections Halloween pack, Cardstock White, Orange, Black
Stamps - Witches shoes from Recollections set (in this set, the feet were in the middle of a sentiment that said something about smell my feet, but I only wanted the feet, so I cut it apart ... Tina Tip: don't be afraid to do surgery on your stamps to make them work for you!), Sentiment from Rubbernecker
Ink - Versafine Black, Prismacolor Pencils
Tools - Spellbinders Labels 8, Marvy Corner Rounder, Cuttlebug Halloween die
Other - Twine by The Twinery, Button, Rhinestones by Queen & Co., Black glitter by Doodlebug
See you tomorrow!
